I don't understand what you are meaning. I am the owner/moderator of this swap. Not sure what you mean by being an every second year person since you only have 1 post on the board

Just because people pick things up all year long, DOES NOT mean that the person they are sending to are going to get what was purchased earlier.
Most things that are picked up during the year are threads, seam rippers, pins, needles, fat quarters, rulers, etc. Those things, in my opinion EVERYONE uses and can always use more.
Then, once the name is gotten, they will personalize the package to be sent.
Make sense??

To those that have sent me info in the past few days to join, do not dispair....
I am traveling at the moment and don't have access to my SS information that I have at home.
I am using hubbys computer that I hate because I just do...

So, please don't think I forgot you or I am ignoring you...I'm still here and watching, reading, listening.

Tammy b...I don't know your name and you don't know mine so I think you're pretty safe there. While stockpiling for the as swap through the year sewing items that are on special,pins machine needles,scissors fabric....We all use those.then when we get our "name" we go out and find something special for that person. Come on in and join the fun. You'll love it

To me the main point of Secret Santa isn't in what I receive. It's the fun of participating in a group (I love the chat!), hitting the shops with someone's "likes" in mind and trying to fulfill them, stuffing the package as full of things as I can (including extras I've picked up through the year), anticipating Opening Day, and then sharing everybody's photos of their packages. That's the fun of it!

Blind exchanges aren't everyone's cup of tea. But for those who love this kind of thing, Secret Santa is a great group to join!

The world went topsy turvy at the beginning of 2020...ha for me especially and probably lots of others in one way or another.. In Sept of 2019 I had a CSF leak and had to have major brain surgery. whilst still recovering I got sick in Jan and spent 10 days in ICU then the next almost 2 months in rehab hospitals learning to walk and function again.....I was so excited to get out and see my grandchildren, daughters ,family and friends....2 days home and the world shuts down...yeah my luck...haha..
Anyways finished lots of UFO's and sent them off the be quilted, After a whole year , started driving again, and today YEAH me...haven't smoked in 8 months!!!! So you bet I am looking forward to this , you all be Blessed and have a wonderful week.

I have been doing this swap for several years now and I can honestly say I have never been disappointed with the boxes I have received. This is truly my favorite swap.

Yeahhh I `m in again this year...love this swap....a few yrs back I was gifted a vintage parasol lady...my secret santa sent her to me after noticing I loved vintage embroidery and since my mom embroidered more pieces to add to her and I got it quilted by Charisma and now I have the most wonderful embroidered vintage parasol lady quilt...all because of this swap....

Got my name too and can't wait to get started. Already have a bit of general stuff put aside. The last 6 weeks have not been the best for me, loosing a dear friend from high school days then my beautiful granddaughter aged 22. So need this swap and to delve into all the happy stuff again the memories they left behind are all good to fantastic and that's a Blessing in itself.

I'm sorry this happened, which it does at times, but what I do, is I hold names aside in case someone leaves suddenly.

AAAARRRRRGGGGHHHH!!!! i know I completed the questionaire just as soon as signups were opened. But stupid me must not have hit the send button and it never crossed my mind that i hadnt gotten confirmation it had been received. So I will sit out this year and enjoy vicariously. guess i dug the "naughty" hole real big this year and will be the permanent resident throughout the swap. Hope it doesnt get too lonely in there by myself. ( i'll try to keep some virtual sweets handy for any visitors who should happen to slip in

-fay, my heart goes out to you in this time of sorrow. I understand the need to find something to ese the pain--if i hadnt had a quilt on the frame at time of my son''s death, i dot think i would have been able to bear that pain the second time around--it was bad enough the first time

marietta, there's always room! What's your favorite tea? I like English Breakfast or English Afternoon. Least favorite is Earl Grey though a lot of people love that!

I rather like earl Gray,but I must say I usually go for Lipton or bushels. Been sewing all day,making stuff for my SS.i want to post early as I checked tracking on a pin cushion I posted on Oct 6 and it was still in australia waiting for a plane on Oct 22.
