I'm not sure if I received my package because I'm out of town. I probably received it but can't check. I will go home sometime in January. I will post a picture then. Thanks to my Secret Santa.

sistahdebbra 12-16-2010 03:23 PM

When you don't share photos, are you saying you're not pleased with what you received or you just don't have a camera to post??? Inquiring minds want to know!!!!

jazs2 12-16-2010 03:29 PM

Some people may or may not have a camera or don't know how
to post a picture. Doesn't mean they are not pleased.

A few days ago I was thinking that there are a lot of people that need cameras for Christmas. Can't tell you how many posts I have read in various threads (topics) where someone mentioned their camera fell on the floor and broke or it isn't working or they don't have one.

It is sometimes easy to take offense. I 'try' (not always successful) to assume the best and let it go. Course, we can always post on here what we sent to so n' so... Lots of people do that too.

Will you post what you sent? That would be cool. I would like to see what you made.

:-D

pennyj123 12-16-2010 03:59 PM

Gday, I like that idea of posting what you have sent, i might do that tonight, as i haven't seen a pic of what i sent out. It will remind me what there was and i do hope that she liked it. :)

I have a camera but my computer died and I'm having to use DH's and he has two computers and which ever one he's not on is the one I use...therefore the pics might on on the laptop but I want to post on the desktop or vice versa...
Most people will list what they received and let the giver know they like what they got...

Don't get me wrong, I don't take offense, I was just wondering and I put the question out there. I don't usually take pics of what I send, maybe I should, at least for my own records. I pledge to do just that, so from this day on, I will try to post pics of what I sent. But do I want to do this before, my partner see it? Decisions, decisions and more decisions???

:-D

ljdugas31 12-16-2010 07:21 PM

I for one love everything i get from the ladies,I can't post pictures so i love it when the ladies who send me things post it or i try to get my sister to do it,I hope you all don't think its because we don't like our gifts, far from the truth,im sure you agree. :-D

Tink's Mom 12-16-2010 07:53 PM

How about taking photos of your work/swap to have in case the other person isn't able to post photos? That way you have the photos but don't ruin the surprise element of giving/swapping?

I have a folder for my creations that I keep just for my own personal record. Although, I do forget to take photos before I get carried away wrapping my gift up and getting it to the post office.

:-D :-D LOLO

Short an Sweet 12-17-2010 09:23 AM

I did that today, I wrapped up your pin cushion and forgot to take a pic and forgot to put the Card in lol

That's very true :) If that's the case though the recipient should at least acknowledge in a timely manner that the gift was received and appreciated. I really don't get it why someone would agree to participate in a swap and then not even bother to open the package or to thank his or her partner.

I'm finally found my camer and can put a picture of my Secret Santa Goodies.
Thank you so much Lindy from Melbourne, Australia. I love everything. Wonderful fabrics; love the colors, a Melbourne calendar, a cute Travel Angel, Patchwork and Quilting book, a lint roller, a darling cupcake pincushion; I love it. Hope I didn't forget anything.

Katie Ann 12-17-2010 12:53 PM

For some reason, I can't get the picture to load. I'll try later.

Katie Ann, your puppies in pic are so cute. What kind are they?

Katie Ann 12-17-2010 01:51 PM

They are West Highland Terriers, otherwise known as Westies.

Katie Ann 12-17-2010 03:32 PM

I didn't review the pictures. I've never had trouble before. But I did figure out a way to do it so here goes again.

Still won't work. I don't know what is going today.

First let me apologize profusely to my Secret Santa K Grantham. I was called out of town on business unexpectedly and did not have access to a computer for personal use so I missed the reveal and did not get to see my treasures until I returned.

You are simply the most generous and giving person. I am certainly not worthy of your generosity. I was so touched and honored to receive the most amazing gifts... I love to do applique and I cannot wait to get started on this quilt. I am keeping this one for me!

I do hope you can forgive my late response and know that I am so thankful for the beautiful gifts, your friendship and the many blessings that come from just being part of this group.

Again I hope you can accept my apology.

Tam...Moo

I hope that you and your family have a blessed Christmas!

Hattie 12-18-2010 04:40 PM

Last year, at the Pigeon Forge, Tennessee Quilt Show, there was a Christmas Wreath wall hanging. Does anyone know where I can get a pattern? My husband loved the wall hanging and I would like to surprise him with one for Christmas next year. Thanks for any information.

tlrnhi 12-18-2010 05:20 PM

I finally got the rest of the pictures posted. I had to go thru Photobucket or it would have taken me forever!
I hope I get pics of everything that was sent. Like I said before, the table got cleared off and Bill ended up just putting everything together. He thought he was helping....UGH! MEN! lol
Again, thank you to EVERYONE from the bottom of my heart! I truely enjoyed doing Secret Santa this year and receiving many, MANY packages. They weren't necessary, like I said before.

So, should I show you all what hubby gave me for Christmas? It's not my Big Girl Truck, but I'm not complaining!!!

Hattie 12-18-2010 05:26 PM

Please show us. I know everyone would like to see and know.

You REALLY want to see it?
Well, here you go!
It's a Leo Diamond from Kay's.
Isn't it beautiful!
Yes, it is on my finger. I have a ring guard on it so it won't fall off. After Christmas, it'll go in to be resized and I'll also get the band with it too!
Like I said, it's not my Big Girl Truck, but I won't complain. :):):)

sharon b 12-18-2010 05:33 PM

OMG ! You do have the bestest hubby !!!!!

See what happens when you have been very"naughty" LOL

tlrnhi 12-18-2010 05:34 PM

Naughty? ME? Well, I'm not telling. hehehehe

sharon b 12-18-2010 05:34 PM

LOL You didn't have to tell us - the gift says it all

sewTinker 12-18-2010 05:35 PM

omg! you must have Fainted! wow it is sooo beautiful. and, sharon b, yours is the retort of the century! hahahahaha....

Hattie 12-18-2010 05:44 PM

It is gorgeous.

tlrnhi 12-18-2010 05:47 PM

It is absolutely beautiful.
The lady that we were talking to happened to be the district manager, so she was much more talkative with telling us things about diamonds and such. She put my original diamond under the microscope and was amazed at the color/clarity of that one. Then she said that I could use that as a trade in towards this new one. I thought I was going to cry! There is/was no way I was giving up my original! She put a ring guard on that one and it's now on my pinkie. I'll save it and give it to Olivia when she gets married...maybe....

Here's the band that he picked out for me.
That one is on order because I have such a small finger...5 1/4, they have to make it from scratch.
That will also be in yellow gold.

mcdaniel023 12-18-2010 06:26 PM

Oh....those are both beautiful.
