September Secret Pal Sign-up - Closes August 30 at midnight - Come join the fun!

This is a monthly secret pal swap. There is a sign up every month, and you can
choose whether or not to participate each month. You will get a different partner each month, and the person you send to will may be different than the person you receive from. Failure to send your package after signing up will be cause to be banned from all future swaps. Please do not sign up if you cannot fulfill your obligation. Have fun and be creative!

After receiving your Secret Pal’s details, go to work and put together a package with something you think your pal would like. There is a $15.00 limit on this swap that does not include what you have in your stash. (This does not include shipping) Most swappers do not mind like-new stash items. Please send items you would like to receive. Do not send smelly, holey, or stained fabric. You will need to send me (hav4boys) a PM when mailing and receiving. This way I can keep my records straight. Also send a PM to your SP thanking them. This is an important part of participating. It lets your secret pal know you got their package.

Please take pictures and post in group as everyone likes to see what you get.

Packages need to be mailed out by September 22th, this is a Firm deadline. All International mailings must be mailed by September 10th Firm. If you know that you cannot mail by that date, Please Do Not Sign Up.

For international mailing it is very important that you mark your parcel as a 'Gift' on the Customs Declaration (there's a box you can check). Also, the value should be $10 only (even if you send diamond necklace). The person receiving the package is liable for Import Duty, Tax and a Handling fee. This can cost the person receiving as much as $40.

Padded envelopes are much cheaper to send compared to small boxes. These can be ordered free of charge from the USPS website.

If your pal does not receive her/his package within a reasonable time I will need tracking information. If there is an exception on the mailing, you will need to inform me ASAP. No one enjoys not getting a package after they have sent one.

I have a secret pal I think I have not had before. I was able to order some of her most wanted and it should arive here by the end of the week. Tomorrow I hope to start putting her package together.

I'm on top of it this month! I'm getting a package together and maybe will be shipping by the end of the week if everything I ordered comes in by then! I think. You never know how fast stuff will ship these days.

I am enjoying putting my package together for someone new to me. It has a long way to go so aim to get it posted in a couple of days!

I'll be putting my SP's package together tomorrow and shipping it on Wednesday. It has to go quite a long way so I want to ship it early. By the way, following hav4boys' lead, my SP's zip code adds up to 24.

Everything has arrived for my secret pal's package. It has approximately 1750 miles to go to the recipient.

So glad you liked what I sent!! I adore paper piecing also and thought those Granny Nanny's would be fun to play with! The things that sometimes show up in thrift stores!!! I liked that seam roller so much that I ordered a 2nd one for myself! It's perfect for paper piecing instead of burning yourself with the mini iron!

My package took wing today to someone quite a long way away, somewhere I've always wanted to visit! Your package is small, but hopefully exactly what you wanted.

I received a fantastic box o'goodies yesterday from Mary Christine! Love everything! Lots of fabrics, Instant Pot cookbook, McCall's Quilting magazine, magnetic needle keeper, pins and licorice for me and Temptations for the kitties! It made my day! Thank you!

Where are everyone's picture of their packages? I love looking at what everyone received.

I am not able to show pictures of what I sent or received. So if my swap partners would do it I would appreciate it.
Tracking showed that my package was delivered, but I have not heard anything. I hope that's not because she hates the package. I also enjoy seeing the pictures of what everyone received.

A new cozy mystery I haven't read, a Tilda quilt book, my favorite thread, Disney fabric from Japan, caramel chocolates, a bag of beautiful bright scraps, Kaffe Fassett Fat Quarters a new mask made of same, lotion and a toy for the kitty. Thank you Rachel, rjlinkletter, for my wonderful package, pins, screwdriver, bright FQs and a fun kit to make an armchair caddy. The kit is with my favorite fabrics, Civil War. When hubby and I looked at the kit's pattern we had to chuckle as just several days ago we decided we wanted a caddy to put the tv remote in as we were always sitting on it. Talking coincidental. Thank you Rachel for your thoughtfulness and for putting the perfect package together.

I’m so pleased it arrived ok (and quickly as I only posted it on the Saturday. There were 2 kits I was looking at for you and somehow this one just pulled me in... somehow I must have known!

Today I received a package all the way from "across the pond." Thank you, CarolinePaj! I'll try to attach a picture, but in case it doesn't work, she sent some beautiful Kaffe fabric with a coordinating spool of thread, the cutest little beaded spool charm, a lavender sachet (mmmmm!), some pins, an adorable pincushion kit, and a very sweet note.

Received a wonderful package today from LaQuita Bristow. Thank you so much LaQuita. At this time I am not able to show pictures but here is what the package included:

Tweezers (shaped like a lady), My Mon's stash is bigger than your Mom's stash sticky note pad, cute tissues with a sewing motif on it. Pattern (April Showers), Toolin' Around see through bag and a boatload of beautiful batik fabric:(1/4 yard, a FQ, and 3 yards all with super patterns).

Thank you Annaquilts- my lovely package arrived today. 2 half yards of fabric from my favorite designer as well as some gorgeous batik-style fabric with gold. A bag pattern, ruler and grommets to make the bag. I am very lucky indeed! Everything was clearly picked out for me and it was very thoughtful
