September Secret Pal Sign-Ups: Closes August 31 at midnight. Come enjoy the fun!
This is a monthly secret pal swap. There is a sign up every month, and you can
choose whether or not to participate each month. You will get a different partner each month, and the person you send to will may be different than the person you receive from. Failure to send your package after signing up will be cause to be banned from all future swaps. Please do not sign up if you cannot fulfill your obligation. Have fun and be creative!

After receiving your Secret Pal’s details, go to work and put together a package with something you think your pal would like. There is a $15.00 limit on this swap that does not include what you have in your stash. (This does not include shipping) Most swappers do not mind like-new stash items. Please send items you would like to receive. Do not send smelly, holey, thin, or stained fabric or obviously used items that should be put in the trash. You will need to send me (Annaquilts) a PM when mailing and receiving. This way I can keep my records straight. Also send a PM to your SP thanking them. This is an important part of participating. It lets your secret pal know you got their package.

Please take pictures and post in group as everyone likes to see what you get.

Packages need to be mailed out by September 20, 2022, this is a Firm deadline. All International mailings must be mailed by September 10th Firm. If you know that you cannot mail by that date, Please Do Not sign up.

For international mailing it is very important that you mark your parcel as a 'Gift' on the Customs Declaration (there's a box you can check). Also, the value should be $10 only (even if you send diamond necklace). The person receiving the package is liable for Import Duty, Tax and a Handling fee. This can cost the person receiving as much as $40.

Padded envelopes are much cheaper to send compared to small boxes. These can be ordered free of charge from the USPS website.

Sign Ups will close August 31 at midnight PST and names will be sent out no later than September 4 th (Usually the first, but like to give myself some leeway).

If your pal does not receive her/his package within a reasonable time I will need tracking information. If there is an exception on the mailing, you will need to inform me ASAP. No one enjoys not getting a package after they have sent one.

It appears, I am the first one to receive my secret pal package this month and what a package it was. This time I was the recipient from Beaverhead Treasures. She send a very large bundle of civil war fabrics and a flag panel. There was a beautiful pattern with a Civil War historical fiction printed on it, can't wait to read it. A cute button that says," I fondle fabric!" It made me chuckle. A kind note accompanied it all. Alisa, I love all the fabrics and pattern you send. Thank you for everything. I don't know how you pulled that off so fast. As for my secret pal, some of your items came in today and I am well under way getting your package together.

I'm waiting on somethings to come in before sending my package out.

Good Morning,
My items have not shown up. So I ran to my local shop on Saturday. My package is going into the mail today. Secret Pal should have it by the end of the week.

Hello everyone. Just wanted to drop in and say hello.

My mom is getting weaker by the day but in zero pain. The cancer has eaten her entire chest wall (visible on the exerior) and is on her back and growing up her neck and on the back of her head. Her lungs and brain are full of tumors. She can talk and has a wicked sense of humor. Her cognitive is slipping and she calls us all by different names but knows who we are even when her brain says otherwise.

My brother came from Buffalo, NY and spent last week with her. She told us three kids she is done here and will not be here in a week.
This is tough but I know it is for a season.

Thank you Anna for holding the fort down. It is appreciated.

So sorry Hav4boys. I lost my step-sister to lung cancer in April. She also had a wicked sense of humor till the end. I guess there is a different sense of peace when you know the person inside is still the same no matter what. It is an inspiration. Beautiful photo of your mom. Hugs.

FWIW, my package went out, I was also waiting for something to come in, I was a day late, mailed on the 9th, but it was worth waiting for the item requested ;-) Hugs again to my pals here.

I received yesterday a wonderful package from Gaijin. It had a lot of wonderful fall fabrics, books, treats for my cats, a marking chalk pin, pins, needles, a lovely bar of soap and Werther's caramels. Everything is something that I can and will used. Oh, also a lovely note from her.

Such a fun package Goatmom. I can't believe it but a couple more days and it will be fall. Your fabrics came just in time to start a fun project. I anticipate hearing from more of you over the next coming weeks as several people contacted me that they send their packages out. I myself have one more item, took awhile to get here, to add and it will go out also.

I have never done needle punch but will buy needle and try the kit you sent. here is a list of items: Strata Star Pattern punch needle kit Ornament or can use as a pin,enbroidery thread also buttons needle threader pack of pins embroidery kit I love it, small scissors clips and some fabrics. Thank you so much Caroline. You did a great job selecting items for me.

That sounds like a lovely package. If Caroline took a picture before sending it out she is sure welcome to post it.

I received my second secret pal package yesterday from Vontina, thank you. I was surprised that I was selected as your secret pal two months in a row. All kinds of different fabrics, a button box (to hold the buttons you sent last month!) and one of her special handmade covered boxes! My photo's probably don't do her handy work justice. The RV fabric is super cute and will be saved for a special project.

It's been a rough day. My mom could not sit up today. Got home to this lovely package from Annaquilts. It's perfectly me. The table runner is out ready for the first day of fall tomorrow. Love the turtle, socks, and pattern. The fabric is great. Made me cry and is greatly appreciated.

I got my package on Thursday from Patricia, and am so grateful! She sent 2 bobbin holders, a silver thread cutter, thread and a wonderful package of fabric for holiday hot pads, and the fabric is already in the wash :-) Thanks and hugs!

Everything will have a use: The holiday prints, dog travel bowls, patterns, tin of sweets etc but what made this extra special was the bench scraper (a tool for baking that I never seemed to get for myself) and a lovely 1/2 yard of the Tula Pink tiny beasts fabric which I both specifically requested.

My mom had her 81st birthday yesterday. That was the goal she wanted to obtain. My Granny, her mom, was 81 when she passed.
