I got my SP name & info and she's new to me! Yeah! She sound like loads of fun, gave lots of great ideas and I'll enjoy 'shopping' for her. She lives in the state north of where I grew up and I'm a Hoosier.

Thanks Lori and hope you're recovering quickly!

YIPEEE.......GOT MY SEPT> GAL NAMES ready for the fun !!! SOUTH of me in a warm state! HAve a great day everyone.

Knitette 09-02-2014 09:45 AM

My SP is a board 'regular' ;) I haven't had her before. Luckily I got my name before I went to the only other quilt shop within reasonable driving distance this morning. It's situated in a lovely little village where I was able to pick up a few items she won't have seen before - at least not according to her beverage preferences anyway (of which there are several).
She'll also be able to wear the scarf I made her - fairly soon I imagine :D

reeskylr 09-02-2014 10:40 AM

Glad to know Lori is up and running again ! :)

Got my name and the first hint is: She has a P.O. Box

TOOMANYUFO'S 09-02-2014 03:26 PM

I am very familiar with my sp. Her like are not the same as mine.

hav4boys 09-02-2014 05:51 PM

Secret pal, we live about 600 miles from each other and I just ordered your most wanted gift. Since I ordered me some too, I ordered them to my home so your gift will not go out until they arrive. You have the same pets as me, but them most do as I have chickens, a turtle, a guinea pig, 4 dogs, 2 rabbits, and 15 cats.

Secret pal, ethnically, the population of your city is fairly typical of most U.S. cities, although there may be more than the average number of persons with Spanish surnames, mainly people of Mexican or Philippine descent. Portuguese tuna fishermen and their families populate parts the city. Despite its popularity with retired people, your city is predominantly a city of young families attracted to the area by pleasant living conditions.

Can you guess who you are?

Could be me! I hope so!

TOOMANYUFO'S 09-02-2014 06:17 PM

Knitette and reeskylr either one could be my sp.

Grandma Peg 09-02-2014 06:36 PM

Got my name today. Have never had her before, she gave lots of info so have some things picked out for her already. No pets.

jaba 09-02-2014 07:22 PM

Sewed something for my SP today and one of her most wanted items is ordered. Hopefully with shipping it will be here in 5-7 days.

quilt addict 09-03-2014 11:51 AM

I don't do this swap very often so my partner is new to me and so far away. But I am sure I can find an item or two that I hope will be enjoyed.

quiltnut4ever 09-03-2014 03:11 PM

quilt addict I'm sure that anything you send will be enjoyed! Love these swaps!

Quercus Rubra 09-03-2014 03:38 PM

I have my name and I don't think i've had this one yet but i could be wrong. That person has had my name before. I didn't get to do any shopping at as it was Doctor day for the Mister. I have to give this one some thought.

Going to the LQS this evening, I'll see if one of my SP's gift is there. :) It has something to do with a Holiday. :)

Krystyna 09-04-2014 06:19 AM

Oof! I forgot to subscribe to this thread! I'm in again. Got my name and have been shopping.

Quercus Rubra 09-04-2014 09:58 AM

I have been putting something things together for my secret pal today. I hope she will like it as it is something she said she collected. I will try and come up with some clues for you to guess.

Oh I think that's ME! So fun.

I am not in the SP this month. My computer went on the blink and was in the shop for a week. Then, a week ago Thursday, we went out to our vehicles (we live in the woods and you can't see our home or vehicles from the road).
My DH's classic 1995 Bronco (the last one that Ford made) that he had owned since it was new, was gone. They found it on Saturday afternoon about 40 miles away from here. In the last 1 1/2 years we have put about $2,500 on it getting it into great shape. All we needed was a paint job. Now it is destroyed.

This is our road and the back woods on the right is where our home and vehicles were

Now my little purple car has quit running. We are having to use a borrowed car for transportation to and from work. Please say a little prayer for us.

Krystyna 09-05-2014 08:20 AM

Oh Twinkle, I'm so sorry. What an awful thing to happen.

Grandma Peg 09-05-2014 09:25 AM

Oh Twinkie I am so sorry to hear about your bad luck. How can people do that? Prayers and hugs for you.
SP your package was mailed today. Your city was named during a poker game.

hav4boys 09-05-2014 02:41 PM

How horrible Twinkle. So sorry.

Well SP, I just got a call and FedEx will not deliver to a PO Box, so one of your gifts is on its way to me. Hopefully ready to ship out on Monday!

quiltingdragon 09-05-2014 04:06 PM

So sorry Twinkle. That stinks.

My SP got lucky, I put out a bid on one of her most wanted items on ebay (so sure I wouldn't get it that I bought the other item) and I managed to get a bunch of fq's she wanted from a particular line for about $1.25 each! I will send her some and make the rest up into a Linus quilt :)

LindaR 09-06-2014 05:17 AM

that is terrible, so sorry....I was crying about backing into a tree...can't imagine....prayers going your way

quiltnut4ever 09-06-2014 09:07 AM

Twinkie so sorry for what happened. I'm sure your husband feels hurt and upset about this.

**SP I will be working on something for you tomorrow. Today my future mother-in-law is here visiting. She's such a sweet person and has to have dialysis every day. She is resting as I type so today we're spending it with her here.

verna2197 09-08-2014 03:18 PM

why is no one posting anything? I am showing the last posting was on the 6th, usually this is a very very bush thread.

reeskylr 09-08-2014 03:30 PM

We are slow this month for some reason :/ I do almost have my package done though!

verna2197 09-08-2014 05:31 PM

I have already sent my packages out and they were received today. Hope you both enjoy them

jaba 09-08-2014 06:23 PM

Oh Verna, I feel bad because usually I have sent by now. I ordered my SP's most wanted item and she said she really needed it, ordered the 1st day I got her name....and it still isn't here. Just waiting for it to arrive so I can send.

quiltnut4ever 09-09-2014 03:07 AM

Verna, I thought the same thing yesterday when I realized that the last post was by me. Hope everyone is doing well. I know there have been some with medical issues I for one. Wish you all a great day!

Lori Peercy 09-09-2014 04:55 AM

I am trying to make something for my sp and not having to much luck, ( I am blaming the pain medicine!) I will give it another shot today. It's suppose to rain a lot today and I have a couple of errands to run so hoping that I can get them done early and then spend the rest of the day sewing and reading, 2 of my favorite things to do!

I received a wonderful package from Grandma Peg. I got quilt magazines, a nice notepad, cute little scissors, B & W FQ's and a 30's FQ, Hersey's Kisses (yum), paper piecing paper and graph paper and a big bag of selvages! Yeah!!! What a great package. Thanks!

I have one package almost ready to go -- just have to finish one item -- and am waiting on an item I ordered for the other one. But both should go out this week. One of my SPs doesn't have pets, so I made her one (everybody needs a house chicken, right?). I haven't decided whether to send her the green on in the background or the magenta one in the middle.

Crafty Darlene 09-09-2014 05:40 AM

Love the chickens Belfybat! I don't have inside pets, but I do have chickens and would love to have one inside that doesn't make a mess! They are all cute!

hav4boys 09-09-2014 08:54 AM

Belfybat, those chickens are adorable. Love, love, love them.

TOOMANYUFO'S 09-09-2014 01:13 PM

I don't usually like orange, but the orange chicken is my favorite. Lori read, sew and just relax, it will help you heal.

quiltnut4ever 09-09-2014 03:34 PM

Belfry those chickens are cute! I love the green one but they are all cute!

JuanitaBean 09-09-2014 10:00 PM

Belfry like all your cute chickens

I received the most delightful package today from Knitette! She also wrote the most charming letter that made me want to move to Scotland immediately. So, without further blethering ... well, maybe a little blethering ...

She sent a frilly Tutu scarf, Scottish tissues, delightful orange fabrics which will be incorporated into something fun for my son and daughter in law who are moving in and painting part of the room orange (!!!), a little book of Scottish Fish Recipes, an array of literature on Scottish castles, Scottish breakfast tea and a blethering coaster to put under my cup, a bobbin box with delightful colored bobbins, some 20 pound note facial tissues (I can't imagine blowing my nose into the queen's face!), a delightful Scottish tea towel which will go into immediate use -- I don't care if you're not supposed to use them -- it's getting used, and a wonderful Scottish charm key chain which is so wonderful because I've been wanting one for my new house keys! Thank you so much! What a fun package!
