Da Da Da-Da! Introducing my beautiful DQ posing in red, white, nlue and pink. My quilt is gorgeous and it be showcased in my sewing room.
Krystyna - funny photo! I always yodeled "Yooo hooo!" when trying to get my kids attention from afar. My daughter used it in a play she was in (she was the mother in Barefoot in the Park) and the audience died laughing. You have a great sense of humor. |

This is the quilt I made for catmcclure. Sorry for the late post as I have had illnesses (my own and my Mom's) that seriously put all other activities and obligations on hold. Thank you, Cathey, for your understanding, patience and prayers.

Thank you, nancia, for your kind and much needed thoughts and prayers. My 94 year old Mom suffered a very severe stroke and we were told by her doctor that we would have to decide on whether she should get a feeding tube since she was unable to swallow and was paralyzed on her left side. When we explained this to Mom she told us to give her a few days because she was going to get better. The doctor was not really very hopeful but said we could wait a day or two before making the decision. We were praying for her recovery but also preparing for the worst just in case. Miraculously, because there is no other explanation, she has made a full recovery, is walking, talking and preparing to attend my niece's wedding in September where all of the family will be together. Since we are all in different states now this will be our first real reunion at home in ten years. This was much too important an occasion for her to miss!

ask for a miracle, you get a miracle!

JoAnn, what a beautiful story of faith and courage and miracles! :) Thank you for sharing. What an inspiration you mom must be!

Thanks to all who commented about my Mom's courageous recovery. We had a wonderful time in New York with her at my niece's wedding on September 15th. Mom was so happy to have all of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews together for such a wonderful occasion. Today I received a call from my niece Jennifer to let me know that God had brought Mom home to be with my Dad. She came down with a cold a few days ago which developed into pneumonia. Mom was ready to go and slipped away in her sleep with Jennifer by her side telling her how much we all loved her. So sad for all of us left behind but so glorious for her. She will be missed.
