WooHoooo, we're almost there!

Not sure if anyone is interested, but I'm going to list some 1.5" strips for sale under 'Thrift Sales & Yard Sales' as soon as I can get a pic. I believe I have enough for a couple of quilts so I won't need these.

I am currently writing a review on a new book by Paula Doyle. It is called Mini-Mosaic Quilts and the strips used in the quilts vary from 3/4", up to 1 1/2", very tiny. If anyone has any extra time, then this is the book for you!

Nelco 10-10-2012 07:42 AM

I would like to buy some of your strips to help build up my stash.

Mariposa, thanks for being a great host. Today I was feeling really down in the dumps since my DH's passing and those tiny squares have brightened my day. Thanks to everyone for swapping with me.

My hubby walked in with my mail and I happily said, "It's my birthday!" It isn't lol. But I really was happy to get this fun surprise today.

Yay!!! I have squares! I have grandchildren here this weekend so I could only do a quick glance at all those little packages. As soon as I have some quiet time I will give them more attention! Thanks everyone that took part in this swap.

barri1 10-13-2012 02:19 PM

Think I'm having sensory overload. I was going to sort my precious squares into color piles, and a light bulb went off in my brain asking me if I was crazy. I went through them, and am still amazed that I don't have many duplicates, but could not put them into any order. They are making me very happy just looking at them. I guess I should start sewing them?????

boilerbarb 10-13-2012 02:46 PM

I got my squares on Friday and can't wait to look through them. Thanks Mariposa you did an excellent job as always. So glad you are willing to do all the work for us

Honchey 10-13-2012 02:54 PM

Christmas!!!! I couldn't stay to go thru them..I had to attend a family getogether. i will have some fun tonite ooohing and ahhhing...I cannot wait until we have another one...

Nelco 10-13-2012 06:00 PM

bepositive 10-15-2012 02:54 PM

THANK YOU! :) THANK YOU! :) THANK YOU! :) The fabrics are BEAUTIFUL! I have to agree with everyone who said they feel as if they know all of the swappers - we all have little treasures from each other in our quilts!

Hi All, I was called into work yesterday and of course I brought the stamps into work so I could sew all day and that's exactly what I did whenever I got the chance...Had lots of fun and lots of questions from customers....

sustraley 10-17-2012 02:55 AM

I agree with goldendog55--nice to see "friends" names on the packages. I love all the different varieties. Great job everyone. And thanks Mariposa!!

judy_68 10-17-2012 03:49 PM

Some of mine didn't have where they came from. I always like to see at least what state they come from.
Judy

sew4nin 10-17-2012 05:04 PM

I spent 2 hours last night just unwrapping and sorting. I was lost in my own little happy place. I still have 3 packages left to open. I'm glad I saved some for tonight. I have in mind to keep a list of where all my goodies came from and list it on the back of my quilt.
Thank you to everyone!

Argentium 10-18-2012 09:17 PM

I'm a little late to the party, but I got my squares last Friday. It made a very long, boring work night go by quick while I peeked in the baggies every so often to ooh and ahh over all the pretty. Now to get some time between work and school to sew... right now all I get time to do is look longingly at my stash and squares in passing. Thank you everyone and especially you Mariposa for playing host.

Pink Lady 10-29-2012 03:15 PM

I got my squares today thank you for hosting this swap Mariposa

peaceandjoy 10-30-2012 03:23 AM

So sorry I haven't posted sooner. Having major internet connectivity problems that we can't seem to figure out. Grrr - I'm an internet addict, lol!

I did receive my little squares. They are all so lovely! Still not sure what I am going to do with them, but now I have quite a few so need to give it some serious thought. Possibly the Film at Five quilt that a link was given for. Thanks, everyone, for helping me get such great variety!

Samantha67 11-05-2012 02:53 AM

Over here in Aussie land I'm still waiting patiently!

sew4nin 11-05-2012 07:28 AM

Sorry you have to exercise such patience. I'm sure it will be worth the wait. Let us know when you get your squares.

Mine too??
I am excited about starting a new piggy bank! I make piggy banks out of some of my PS Squares

this one was made with a variety of sized scraps, but I really like the 1.5 the best.
