How and to whom do we make suggestion for swaps? I am new here and not sure where and when to do things, but am loving a couple of the swaps that are going to be starting. Santa got me a new machine for Christmas and I can't wait to start sewing on it, lol.

If you want to join a swap that is still open, just post a comment in the thread saying you would like to join. The swap host will respond. Generally, it is the more the merrier so you should have no problems.

If you have a suggestion for a swap, PM one of the Moderator's with your suggestion. If okayed, you would start a post in Member Swaps :D:D:D

ok thanks, I was wondering how I would suggest a swap also? I have a couple I want to join in on so far.

I am interested too. What exactly are the requirements? Pat

please don't suggest a swap unless you want to be the coordinator.
if you have a swap idea and want to be the coordinator, START by reading the general rules and guidelines for board swaps: http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-20154-1.htm then contact a moderator to outline your idea and for a review of your swap's specific rules and deadline(s). please DO NOT post any information about the swap until it's been approved by a moderator. (current moderators are PatriceJ and Shadow Dancer. Shadow Dancer is on vacation until further notice.) swaps that haven't been approved will be deleted. i know that sounds "ugly" but it's the only way to keep things organized and orderly. to join a swap that has been announced and is still open make sure you read about that swap's rules and deadline(s). ALWAYS start reading at the top of the first page of a swap's topic. send a pm to the swap coordinator to let her/him know you'd like to join in. (it's easier for a coordinator to take sign-ups by pm than it is to sift through all the chatter in the topic looking for players.) |
