I am thinking of hosting a swap with one of these two patterns:

http://quilterscache.com/A/AntiqueTileBlock.html
or
http://quilterscache.com/A/ArrowheadPuzzleBlock.html

Which one would you guys be interested in? And what kind of colors scheme (last two I did were winter) or theme would be good?

ETA: The arrowhead puzzle block is crazy easy btw.

I like the ArrowHead pattern

Colors: brights, or creams and grays, suggest a line of fabric like Bliss from Moda or granny prints/Aunte Gracie

Either would be a fun swap! I like both blocks. But I LOVE the Antique tile block! How about Red/White and Blue? Or Fall colors?
Actually ...... whatever you decide will work for me!! I want in!
Thank your hosting!!

What about a From the Heavens type theme? Skys, clouds, planets, stars, etc? It would be different if nothing else ;)

shequilts 02-21-2011 06:53 PM

My thoughts exactly.

I like both of them, but the arrowhead is my favorite. I think it would be a lot of fun to do.

bookworm 02-21-2011 08:50 PM

I sent for approval.... Arrowhead for now. I might do the other one later but if someone else wants to take it I don't mind

moonwork42029 02-21-2011 08:59 PM

I like the arrowhead. As a really new newbie piecing items, this would be good for me ... as long as it meets the standards of others ... crossing fingers it would.

Do you know what size and how many you would be thinking of doing for the swap?

I have limited access to shops so brand specific fabrics would count me out.

Sets of 12 and each block 12 1/2" unfinished.

crafty_linda_b 02-21-2011 09:12 PM

Bookworm... If we do 12 blocks, just wondering how long 'til the mail out date? I like the arrowhead one ....I think blues & yellows would be pretty..

bookworm 02-21-2011 09:16 PM

I sent for... sign ups by April 3rd and to have them to me by May 3rd... if it gets approved that is :)

nurse bonnie 02-21-2011 09:25 PM

Bookworm ~ count me in, too. I like the arrowhead. The other one would be good for the next one.

Karen 02-21-2011 09:49 PM

I really like both blocks, if I get all my other swaps finished I would to do this swap!

pennijanine 02-21-2011 10:09 PM

I am in for either one. I like the idea of blues and yellows, but I also like blues and tans. I like both blocks.

JSNOMORE 02-22-2011 02:44 AM

I like the arrowhead pattern . I think blue and yellow sounds great

I'm in the dark, where can I find out how this project works, rules, regs., etc. This would be my first attempt and I would not want to sign up if I could not fill that obligation. Help!!

I'm in, vote for arrowhead. Blue &yellow

I used the Antique tile for my winter blocks. I allows you to fussy cut a center & is very easy to sew. I would like red, white, blue theme.
Blocks could be scrappy. I never understood why a swap like this requests all the blocks to be the same!
There is a great need for veteran's donations. Thanks for even thinking of hosting another!! Dotty

homecaregiver 02-22-2011 06:27 AM

The Antique Tile is beautiful and in the blue and white but then I also like the arrowhead and the blue and yellow sounds nice too so lets do both Seriously, either one would be ok with me.

Bookworm, I've done the Antique Tile in several different colors for candle mats. They are easy and look nice when they are done. I'd be interested in doing a Red/white, if you choose the Antique Tile. Eiltcoq.

CloverPatch 02-22-2011 07:04 AM

Ahhh, squares! simple squares. I can do squares! I am keeping an eye out for signups!

Typically, you make 12 blocks & get 12 back, all different.
Here's one we did last year for breast cancer awareness.

I'm going with the arrowhead one for now. I might do the other later unless someone else does it first. I'm goin with the sky and space type theme cause I think its neat but only one of the three colors will be controlled so you can still have your blue/yellow or red/white/blue.

Arrowhead looks fun. Count me in!

rob529 02-22-2011 10:08 PM

Red, blue and cream.

grumpy90650 02-22-2011 10:28 PM

just a quick question, would the set of 12 be the same colors? identical to each other? or if, lets say, you pick blue and white, can we make 12 blue and white but with different fabric......thanks..
