I have been derailed this week! An impromptu baby shower being held for a friend (notified 2 days ago) and so I have been putting together the cutest burp cloths! Reversible baby print flannel sides and trimmed with large rick rack. Fun!

I think this month's swap has had some of the cutest mug rugs and extras!!! Such a talented bunch of creative swappers! Wow!

If I had a dollar for every time someone said "My grandma used to make those slippers," I'd be so very rich. It always makes me feel old when I hear that but since I actually am the grandmother of a 21 year old grandson and 20 year old granddaughter, I can't deny my age any longer (LOL). I've been making them since I was 10 years old when a babysitter taught me how to knit.

Yes Dorothy the block is paper pieced. I cheated and looked at your album since I will be leaving for a week. The mug looks beautiful, almost Victorian, I love it and can't wait to see it in person. Oh boy oh boy, I am so excited. Terriamn

Yes Podunk , I learned how to make them in 8 or 9th grade. forgot now,
or i'd make myself some. my grandma knew how to make them too. goes back
to the stoneage on those! great gift idea!!!!

Got home today and open package from rwquilt (Ronda) Loved MR and all my goodies Kiss candy, mini journal, tap measure, needle case, book marker. THANK YOU SO MUCH.

I am just lurking this round but wanted to say what nice things everyone is getting. I especially love the MR made by Rhonda (rwquilt) for JuanitaBean. Looks so simple and gives me ideas for when I join another swap. Now I am going to look up a finger/thumb pin cushion and see if I can find directions on how to make one that I saw referenced in another posting, on this thread, I think. :-)

I love the house mug rug and also the heart mug rug and oh oh those booties! so cute! I had a pair when I was young too but never learned how to make more than a scarf crocheting myself. any bigger and I get a lovely triangle. sigh. it gets bigger and bigger and bigger lol. very not what I was hoping for so I quit. someone else can take my yarn sigh.

I am very pleased to see some photos. I have so many notices I have sent surely there will be a deluge of photos coming in shortly (HINT HINT). Again peoples feelings get hurt when you don't share a photo. I know we have two people who have agreed not to post pictures til they both get them and that is a personal choice which is fine. anyone else however should get a photo up or a statement that they can not take pictures. they need to inform their partner of this so they can post a photo. IF YOUR PARTNER HAS TAKEN MORE THAN 5 days from receipt of box/envelope then please post a picture and let me know so I can knock on their back with a reminder about this. I would rather not have to do this so get your PHOTOS up if you have received please. you can always take a photo of the box you got if your not opening it yet lol.

jeanne49, love that mugrug, was that embroidered or applique, very, very nice.
enjoy it. great goodies too!

The hearts are appliqued - she used her embroidery machine for the satin stitch - those stitches are absolutely perfect.

Kiffie, I mailed both my mug rug and mini quilt without taking pictures Friday, grrr. I never do that but DH was in a big rush to get somewhere that I completely forgot the pictures...and the cards!

The pattern was out of print. I finally found the book it was in, it's out of print, too. A few weeks after I posted my pic, the book was selling for hundreds of dollars. Ca-razee!!
