That was such a nice addition of the kitty on the quilt. How wonderful. Love that pattern. I have enough 30s fabrics left think this would be a great pattern to do.

We've been staying at my sisters in DC because we've been without power since Friday night's whacko wind storm and it's been over 100 degrees most days. This evening, before it got dark, we went home to empty out the frig and freezer since it's trash day tomorrow morning.

At the front door was a priority mail package FOR ME! From Sue in Tennessee (maggiesmom)!!! We had to hurry to empty the frig before it got dark, but could I wait? OF COURSE NOT.
I have a WONDERFUL 1930s repro traditional quilt. It's GORGEOUS.

But... YOU have to wait, because it got dark and we couldn't take a photo and I forgot to bring it back here! But I'm going back tomorrow and will take and post a photo.

I'm absolutely thrilled to have this quilt. ;-)

Jillaine , I finsihed my quilt and mailed it off today for wuv2quilt. The post office says she should get it on Thursday.
Thank you so much for running this swap. I learned alot from it. I hope Beckie will post a picture when she recieves it.
She said I should have mine by the end of the month. Her and I both had alot of life's problems to deal with. But we are both keeping our promise to finish our quilts.. I called mine "Our Garden of Love".

Hi Jillaine, sorry about your storm problems going on around you. NO FUN! I know. You stay inside girlfriend. No need to get outside and hit with a tree. We've had more high heat here the latest was 110 and these ranges went from 100 to 110, in a week. Stay in & sew jigs, so I have.
All of us receiving our quilts are still looking at them and enjoying more & more. What a wonderful group of quilters you have Jilliane, your the best sweetie.
Stay safe & hope your utilities get to working very soon.
Take Care,
Jigs

I live in the area of Maryland hit by the freak storm that took out electricity for hundreds of thousands including us. So I'm not running at full speed. When power returns I plan on sending you all a mini survey to assess how this all went and what you'd recommend for making it better. But pepco says it could be a week!

I still have not mailed my quilt for Maggiesmom despite being finished for a while. It is all ready to go, but had a bit of a hiccup here last week (understatement of my life!). Between waiting on electricians and inspectors and insurance adjusters it will be a couple days yet before I get it to the post office.
