Thank you ladies. I have done a couple of samplers before as doll quilts and it is something I like the look of. They are fun to put together.

I'll third that. Everyone's is so different and I could find wall space for them all. Rhonda - love the hearts!!!

Nanci, glad you like the snowmen. They have a special place in my heart so they go to special people.

Finished quilting the wall hanging last night. Tried some new ideas and not sure if I like it, but it is done and not ripping out the tiny stitches. Like how the backgrounds turned out in the blocks so that was good. Tried some new ideas there as well. Hope my secret partner does not mind that I experimented with the quilting. It looks good on the whole and lays flat. I am working on binding and will embroidery up a label tonight on the machine of course, no more handwork for awhile. Then will be mailed tomorrow.

I finished up last night at 9:15pm. I sewed down the hanging sleeve and the embroidered label this am and put in the mail box. It is on its way to my secret receipient. Whew, finished 9 last month and 21 more to go for year.
Won't post all the close up details, may take up the whole page. i liked the background quilting on each of them and they are all different. This way the partner will have a surprise when she gets it.

I received the most wonderful wall hanging yesterday in the mail. Thank you kiffie2413 (Kandy). I have a throat/ear infection and was really down, but opened the mail and I was all smiles. I haven't ever done a Sue and Sam but now I have one!!! And the fabrics - wonderful. You used some heart fabrics and they always speak to my heart. Now I can't wait to start the next one. Thanks again Kandy!!!

You are quite welcome! I am so happy you like it, as I said I was working on something completely different, and just could not figure out a way that "spoke to me" of putting all the blocks together for the other one...so this one was "hatched"...lol..
I also hope you feel better soon!
Regards,
K
PS Yep, I chickened out once again on doing fmq on it...I just seem to keep reverting back to hand quilting or straight line/outline quilting...lol...maybe next time...
Rhonda, I love your heart wall hanging..can't wait to see it when you get it all completed!!!
