I don't want the person have to wait for me.That would not be fair. I really don't want to drop out but at this point I don't know what to do. If you don't mind waiting then I would be happy to finish my part of the top. If you don't want to wait I do understand. And can mail it to the next person. ..So if I have your top let me know what you would like me to do. I'm so sorry and I will understand if you don't want to continue my top.

Lv2sew2011, I sent you a private message which maybe you didn't find. (Other members have had some trouble with missing private messages.) I'd be willing to do your round for you this time, and if you need it again for the last round as well. Simply mail me the quilt top that frustratedquilter40 has sent you, and I'll take care of it. If you want me to do that, then I'll send you my physical address via your email address (in case your private messages here are not working). Just let me know what you decide to do.

We probably all agree it's a difficult time for you. I'd rather do something for you than see you drop out if you don't want to.

Please accept my sympathy in regard to your mother passing. I've lost mine too, and it's sure a hard time when that happens. There is nobody that can replace my mother...

First, accept a whole bunch of condolences, hugs, prayers, good vibes and love from all your friends here, my dear. Breathe deeply, cry freely and let us help you in any way we can, ok? Are there any resources in your area to help you and your dad? Councils on Aging, respite care agencies, community health centers, Meals on Wheels, hospice or home care organizations, local church groups or clergy are just a few ideas to check into. Remember that airline instruction to put the oxygen mask on your own face first before trying to help someone else? So don't be shy about asking for whatever you need to get through each single day.
Is sewing going to be a relaxing break for you? Then manage a little bit just for you, don't worry about meeting deadlines for others, us included. I know we would gladly take turns doing a round for you anytime, just let Givio know how we can help. PM me anytime you need a shoulder and a cry. Miriam

I am finally back online -- long sad story that finally ended well. When lots of things get destroyed, you get to choose the colors and styles you want.

I'm happy that my row got he OK. I did take a pix, but haven't downloaded to the PC yet. I am back n WA for the winter. We had to leave Maine early because of problems here, so we never got to eat our huge - unripe - tomatoes. The neighbors a reaping the harvest.

I am looking forward to getting the next row - but there is no big hurry - I am still unpacking cartons.
When everything is tossed into cartons -- you find out how much "stuff"and duplicates you own.. No more buying anything for a long while.

Mim

I love looking at all the pix

It looks like we might be falling a little behind soon-- it seems like we have 8 out of 10 who have posted a picture of their 3rd round with the quilt top being 36", and we have 6 out of 10 who have mentioned mailing their quilt top. This is the week for mailing girls, and Saturday is fast approaching, so please give us an update! :-)

Please post a message when you have received the 36" quilt top. Hopefully, all the tops will have arrived by the end of next week. At this time, I've only noted that 2 out of 10 have received the quilt top, but I could be wrong.

It seems like the most comments received mentioned that 4 weeks of sewing time for Round 4 would be enough for adding the 8" border, making the top 52". If you want to suggest a different time frame, please let us know! :-) Since many have not mentioned receiving the quilt top yet, should we could give another week? It would mean mailing the 52" quilt top during the week that begins Nov. 13, or if we wait another week for receiving time, then Nov. 20.

I'm really enjoying seeing what everyone adds to the quilt tops. So much so that I suggested a Round Robin activity with my local quilting group that I go to in person. At our next monthly meeting the ones that want to do it are going to bring a 12" center block. How fun is that? :-) I hope you are enjoying it too.

I received the top from Vovoa yesterday, mailed mine out on Tuesday. I seem to spend more time developing my pattern and plan, and then the sewing goes pretty fast. This weekend will be the planning phase!

Lv2sew2011 I currently have your top and I plan to add incredible things to it. I believe you have mine at this point. You will not hurt my feelings if you pass it along without adding. You have more pressing matters than our tops and I wouldn't feel slighted in the least to have you skip or just do what you can. You have my sincerest condolences on the loss of your mother and I will pray for you to have the strength you need to care for your father for as long as you can. Please don't risk your health by putting his needs completely ahead of your own. God Bless you and your family from my home to yours. Anna

And Ms. Poodle arrived in Canada today.

Honestly, I had forgotten all about this round robin because I've been so busy lately. There is not one single day in the rest of October that I am at home and there are three return flights to various cities on my itinerary. Take heart, November looks better. Meanwhile, Ms. Poodle is hanging out on my design wall where I can visit her for quick trips and audition some fabrics.
