A little bit of yellow is fine, Jane. I am just not a yellow person. It is fine as an accent but when it is a main color it depresses me. My original tape measure is yellow and still in my sewing room. Can't wait to see what you do. I have been working at my design for Yvonne's. I can see it in my mind. Just haven't got it to work out from my hands yet!

Happy quilting, y'all!

Mary

Ah, darn, I wanted those blocks. Oh well, I know they will be in good hands and loved as much as I would love them.

ACCHHHH!!! I now have two people's rows. I'm holding up the works! I have been working on Yvonne's. I hope it turns out well. I am a little worried because I changed background colors. My SIL thinks it is fine but I worry. Jane's will be much easier for me. I have tons of 30s stuff - fabric and patterns. How is everyone else doing?

Don't panic Mary...all is well! Having fits with one of Barbara's blocks but I'll work it out.

Barbara, well, I worked that ole' block out alright...I REDID it!!!! Now I'm happy! Need to make a few quick stitches on the last one and then sew them together and then I'll attempt to post some pictures. Had to put small sashing strips between my blocks because some idiot ( hmmmmmmmm...wonder who THAT could be???) measured wrong!!!
Will probably mail Mon. or Tues. Sherry but I'll let you know for sure when it's in the mail.
Are you all moved in Jane??? How do you like it? Is it closer to work?
How you coming along with your rows Mary? Seems like "life" always gets in the way when we're creating, doesn't it?

Yvonne, I have worked all week off and on and pretty solid yesterday and today. I am trying to remember how to post pictures and will add some. I am disappointed with the effect. I wanted to mail tomorrow but I think it needs more. It looks plain compared to the other two rows. I gave things too many sewn details instead of doing more things.

This is my row laid out under the others. I live on a farm and thought that would be appropriate.

Some detailed pictures.

The barn and silo. My sister keeps calling this a smokehouse with a chimney??

Haystacks. One of them has a bad attitude even asleep!

The windmill. She is a happy girl.

Implement shed with a sleeping tractor.

There are so many more details I could add but I go back on nights tomorrow night. I noticed after I was done that both of the other rows have a moon and bats. I did everything on here on my sewing machine. I used several decorative stitches and lots of thread changes. I am stewing on it as I fix supper. I may add more detail.

What do you think, Yvonne?

I LOVE it Mary. He, he...mine were birds not bats...still laughing ...looked at them again and they could!!! be bats by golly! You stuck to the colors and the theme and you did it all by machine!!!!!....can't imagine! And it's YOUR neighborhood which is perfect! Remember when you add the black sashing I sent it will tie everything together. Thank you so much!!! I'm more than pleased!

I like it Mary. I did all mine by machine too. This is going to be a really cute quilt. Mine were make believe birds too. LOL. Good job.
