Use it for a purse, bag, or in a crazy quilt! I buy the oddest fabics you could imagine. I like to make bags and the material used can make a mundane bag into something very special! I bought some very silky oriental type fabric and have a bag cut out of it. Oh, the raveling I am dealing with. Of course I couldn't find my pinking sheers at the time. Some day I will finish that bag, cause it is going to be stupendous!! Depending on the quilt, you can still use that fabric. For instance, in this row robin, I would not mind at all if some different fabrics were used. For one thing, I will be using it as a wall hanging, not a bed cover so it won't be washed much, if at all. Keep that beautiful fabric, and use it!! It must have been meant for you if it used a desguise to get you to take it home. LOL

Thanks buslady. I will keep that in mind my collection is growing, maybe I'll make something really great with it once the inspiration comes.

Hello.... still haven't put anything on fabric yet, but I have two blocks designed so far. I'm working on doing "holiday kitties" -- in other words, using certain print fabrics with cat blocks. I have Halloween and Christmas, and just had one pop in for the 4th of July. So there's still valentines day, easter, New years, Thanksgiving, etc, etc.... am I being crazy or just pushing the envelope?? Don't worry, if you run out of holiday ideas! There's lots and lots of yummy fabrics out there that work without having a specific theme.... Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter, batiks, homespun......

Maybe I better get back to work now.

MizMelly that sounds great! Holiday cats are cute! I have been really collecting patterns for my snowman quilt. I'm just about ready to make my first block. I got my background blocks cut. I'm really ready to go. That sounds great with the holidays.
Buslady if you can make 6 quilts in a week, we won't have to worry about you! Is your row still a memorial type quilt to your Mom?
Tam...Moo I just love cows and your avator is so cute!

Yes, so far I have not changed my mind. I have lots of ideas, but have not put any of the to fabric, nor to paper. Want to write a letter about her to send with the quilt so you might be inspired by that, since you did not know her. Sometimes those are the people that can pick something out that those really close might have overlooked. I am looking forward to this, for sure. Next hurdle I have is the Annual Quilt retreat that I host. It is Nov 16-18. After that all I have are the holidays to worry about. Lets keep the chatting up, this is fun.

We aren't a very chatty group. I hope that once we get going that changes! LOL I have one more hurdle, my quilt retreat, then things will settle down. That is next weekend. I am excited. Second annual and I want it to be as good as the first. Plan to take care of UFO's at the retreat, even though this row is still just in my head, it is on the top of the list for UFO finishing. Still going with the memory quilt. Talk later. Onalee
