A little peek of my addition for Peggizo. I think the colors are a bit more muted in this pic than in real.

Those are perfect whigrose. I was thinking of those also but those rows fill up fast so I am glad you are adding them. Very pretty!

Well ladies, you are playing with the village idiot here :-(

Got pretty cranked up late yesterday afternoon trying to get a few of the blocks stitched for Peggizo's row before going dancing. Started one block, got just about 1/2 through and realized I was doing the pattern wrong. Tossed that one aside; no big deal.

Started the next two blocks. Ooooh, so pretty :-) Trimmed them both up and went to show them to dh and it hits me.

Wait for it.

I found the pp pattern on-line and popped it into Publisher bringing it to the size I wanted. Got all ten of them traced out onto my super thin - chiropractor-gave-to-me-roll-of-table-face-paper- paper. That takes a spot of time.

Cut out all my fabric pieces. Successfully stitched two blocks together, trimmed them out, stepped back to admire them and then slapped my head.

When I put the pattern into Publisher, apparently I was one sandwich short of a picnic. In my mind because I made the pattern X" plus 1/2", I had allotted for the seam allowance to join all the blocks. And when did I realize the error of my ways? Yes. Right. As I was trimming the second of the two completed blocks and as my rotary cutter passed over the seam of a point and not 1/4" away.

Today, I get to play with more paper and pencil :-( Fortunately I can still use the remaining cut fabric pieces.

Lesson learned.

Dancing was fun:-) But how did I end up with laryngitis today?

best,
d

Unhappy

Oh no wighrose! Bleh I hate when that hapenes. I faithfully cut 5 WOW 2 1/2 inch strips into 2 1/2 inch blocks for an entire quilt top only to find out they needed to be 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 in. We need more chocolate and sweet red wine I think.2 You should have seen my face. I kept on checking the pattern to see where in the world I was using all those 2 1/2 inch squares. No where ofcourse.

Peeking in from groups 8 and 10. All the rows look great. Keep up the great jobs. Come over and take a peek at our rows. Everyone has such different rows. Isn't this fun?

Red face Pics! For Annaquilts and Whigrose

Hi Ladies,

First of all this is fun and makes you think outside your own box on what someone else may like or want. I won't feel bad if you feel the need to just use certain blocks or add to what I made. I want you to love your rows and make it your own when all is said and done!

The colors are much more beautiful than in the pic. I did not attach my rows so that you can decide where it will go best in the end.

Whigrose, my patterns was spools, which I thought would be great for achoring the sewing theme, but after posting I now see it could look like fishes! I did put a large flying geese at each end to complete the length, and pick up your pattern above, but I think it gave it a fish look! I do remeber that this row length was 50" vie 60" so ladies make sure you measure your blocks before starting since it may come out short or too long!

I spy my rows. I love it. Everything fits right in the house on the hill, the star block, the barn and it is fun how both you and whigrose decided to repeat the funky tree. Is that an out house on the right. How fitting! The bee hives are adorable. Thank you babruth!

baberuth the colors of your spools are spot on. I did not see the fish but it took me a moment to see the spools. On the picture the black pops but it is definitely spools.
