Oatmeal cranberry cookies
1/2 cup shortening
1/4 cup butter
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
scant 1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup water
2 tsp vanilla
1 cup flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp soda
1 1/2-2 cups dried cranberries
3 cups old fashioned oats
mix together shortening, butter, sugars, egg, water, vanilla, salt, and soda. Stir in remaining ingredients. Bake at 350 about 12 minutes .

pamela--i take it these are drop cookies rather than rolled out and cut into shapes or balls before baking????
