Final wrapping of goodies for my Secret Santa this weekend and out on Tuesday. Monday is a National holiday and also our anniversary.

Thanks for the cookie recipe Pamela. It looks like the typical oatmeal cookie except swapping raisins for dried cranberries. How festive!

it was until I decreased sugar, substituted butter in as part of the fat and increased the vanilla while omitting all the other spices. They are really quite popular when I make them.

So many of you are on the ball. Guess I had better get off my duff and finish the package. Hope to mail by Monday. We have untill the 15th correct? I don't want my ss partner to have to wait too long to open the package. Just hope they like what I send. The hole sounds like fun but I always have trouble digging myself out so I will try to be good. BrendaK

Pamela is that brown sugar Plus white sugar? I had to look up shortening...I thought that was just butter.

Yes. Use more brown than white though. You can use butter flavored shortening (Crisco), but I still use part real butter, it gives them the best flavor.

Still working on mine too... Santas elves decided “one more thing” that should be here no later than Wednesday. Nothing like cutting things short, April!
