Like I said earlier my mom had German style things and also this 60 or 70's owl thing it wasn't glass maybe resin but it was a hot trivet she put on the table in all its olive green, burnt orange and mustard gold glory. it was sooo stylish back in the day. I laugh now. That stuff is a HOT commodity as its vintage and there are those who love it.
great! Right on!

I was doing applique work on my HOT hot pad. I think its going to come out pretty cute so I cant wait to finish it and wait for my swap partner! Today should finish the applique part then the quilting part and binding I think its about 12 x 12 big enough for a pie dish or such to go on it or to put a little splash of color on your kitchen wall. It makes me smile making it hope it will make you smile when you receive it

I just need to quilt and bind! I had fun making the top, its more a pun intended than a wild design but I hope that my partner can get a smile out of it. I made it out of some fairly neutral colors, beige, brown, rust, polka dots and what else can I say but it came out.. very DEER to me. clues always little clues.. what shall it be? I first started with DEER to my Heart but well this one is much more modern than that! I will be ready to mail on time no problem.

I hope your playing too AB! I don't think I have the energy to have a little one all weekend long anymore. I am only 51 and think some of you ladies can run circles around me with your exuberance and energy! I sew for two hours and I am pooped out. You amaze me! I watch Jaba whip up a quilt top in a couple days tada its done then quilt it and I think that is a six month project for me! I prefer table runners and hot pads more my speed. Still take days to complete however.

Brat, I know how you feel. I'm 64 and even though I think I can I get myself into a project and have to sit down and rest, bad back doesn't help. But sewing is a nice stress reliever...fun and good friends.

Well I got some sleep last night, thank you Jesus! However this morning I dropped a 48 oz bottle of Lemon pine sol on my big toe. The one I just had surgery on 5 weeks ago. The boot I have to wear has no support on the top so needless to say ....................HURT! I called the surgeon and ask if i needed to come in. He said with a direct hit to the top of my toe the metal plate with 6 screws would not have broken. So I see him in 2 weeks.
I'll post my pics of my hot pads tomorrow. I'm going to bed early tonight too! Keep sewing ladies.
