Lovely fabrics mamaskeeto. The colors are some what similar to the patriotic fabrics I am using.

I need my partner asap...I want to make something that is a bit larger...like 22X33...It is adorable and lisalisa sent me the pattern!

I have to share a story here...lisalisa was my partner in the May swap and she sent me the most outrageously crazy quilt and I love, love it! I took it over to show my 95 yr old mom who is now in Hospice and quilts are something she is still knows and loves. She couldn't quit looking at it and touching it. I asked her if she would like to keep it for a few days and she was so thrilled. She took it downstairs for breakfast to show it to her friends...they are all wheelchair bound and they all just love it. I got it back yesterday because she thinks someone will steal it but it gave her so much pleasure. Thanks again from the bottom of my heart, lisa.

Sharon, what a wonderful story about your mom! Isn't it wonderful how much joy quilts bring to people's hearts? As for your partner ... Saturday morning Little Miss Impatient!

Just got back from bringing my two pups to the vet -- first time since the storm. Their office was destroyed and they were working out of a trailer with a generator. So ... after this that and the other I got the bill and nearly pooped! $455! Yow! I think I need a donut to help me recover ...

A donut? How about a whole chocolate cake? Maybe you are helping your vet rebuild. Our vet bills are about that bad too, by the time you buy the heartworm and flea and tick preventative meds and then our old lady Piper is on pain pills and also Prozac. Pip and Penny so far only need the basics.

Poor Piper! My 8 year old Puggle was not happy having his nails clipped ... and then the perpetual ear infections. Little Daisy had to be muzzled but after that she was complacent.

As for a whole chocolate cake ... sure thing! I'll cut it in half and smack the pieces on each hip to save time. Actually I just picked up some orange cake mix and icing so I think I will make cupcakes later on today.

Off Topic, but I couldn't resist ... did anyone see the Discovery Channel Mermaid special?

Funny thing is that I was sitting next to my son at Mass on Sunday and one of the readings struck me so much that I pointed it out to him ... "The birds of the air, the fish of the sea, and whatever swims the paths of the seas."
