ummmm, was I supposed to do it all by hand? Cause I did not do that.

My husband just looked at it and said, "Is it supposed to be that gaudy?" EXCUSE YOU MISTER?! Next he will be asking if the brownies are supposed to taste that ex-laxy.

Default self portrait

Ok self portrait. Decided it could be rather easy after all. You see about 10 yrs ago I lived in Sedona. My lil sis came out for a visit we did the tourist things took pics here there all over. She then came back to California and showed the photos to my aging mother. She would have been 83 at the time. My mom kept saying oh and ah and then she grabbed one picture and told my sis.. Linda looks so good in this picture! my sis said she almost choked from lauging. You see mommas eye site wasnt all that. That good picture of me was a tree. A TREE! so there is my self portrait ladies.. I apparently am a tree. A narly pinion tree at that. lmao.. it was so funny she blew up the picture and framed it for me. NOW WHO WAS THE BRAT THERE???

Jean D...are you okay? Did they catch the fugitives????
Bertie..your little quilt is FABULOUS! Loved your method of housekeeping..."pilot here and there"..funny.
I am Lisalisa's lucky partner and I can't wait to get my hands on that little quilt! Maybe you did get more stuff sewed on yours than I did but I am not sure! I will keep you posted.
Robin I hope all is going well and according to plan!
Brat do you really look like a tree? I am thinking a self-portrait in the style of Picasso...you know an eye here, a nose over there, etc...I think I will stick with where I live...in a cornfield with Chicago far off in the background. What was this Manhattan woman thinking when she moved to Illinois? Grandchildren that is what!!! Do miss NYC but planes still fly!

Sharon, you're not missing much in Manhattan. It has changed so much since I lived there ... a real nanny state now.

LisaLisa, if memory serves me correctly, I think Brenda21's husband made a similar remark last year! Philistines -- all of them!

Today I have learned that the old saying "what does not kill us only serves to make us stronger" is so very true ..... started the neupogen shots .... they make the stemcells multiply and to do that they work in the bones ..... making every bone in a persons body ache sevearly ..... it took the shot about 30 minutes to start working and OMG thank GOD for pain pills ..... 500 mils ..... my hips and spine hurt so bad ..... now the fact that I gave myself the shots was ok ... but two of them!!!!!!! ....ohhhhhhhhh wow .... I might add that was the easy part ...... I have to take them for 7 days ...... ouch !!!!!!!!! .... at day 4 a heart cath goes in with surgery ...... at day 5 they will start running my blood through a machine that will seperate the stemcells from the blood then put it back into me .....lol..... that could take till next Friday to get enough ...... then home for 3 or 4 chemo treatments .... God will be the pilot here ...... that was yesterday @ 6pm..... still hurting when the pills wear off and another shot tonight @ 6........... no more posts from me till this is over ...will be looking at the beautiful quilts ..... pain pills are a good thing and I will be trying to stay ahead of the pain ...... happy quilting ladies ........
