Yes, I'm wondering now -- have I been doing it wrong? Buying fabric without it being justified? I buy it when it says "I wanta go home with yewwwwww!"

I bought a yard of beautiful orange fabric once and my sister said to me 'now what are you going to do with a yard?' I said I dunno but it's just so purty! About a year later I saw a pattern I fell in love with -- sailboats in a log cabin type setting in teals and cool blues. So guess what my sailboats were made of -- yep, the beautiful orange fabric. If I can find the picture, I'll show you.

This is just the top and I think the pattern was called "Smooth Sailing" by Carolyn Beam, from Quiltmaker #133, May/June 2010. I put a really neat aquatic print of fishies as a six-inch border all around the quilt. And then I gave it to my sister who had questioned my orange fabric purchase, haha. Shows her what you can do with a yard of orange!

Bertie, I love your orange with sailboats! I was into mustard yellow, put it aside, started working with toxic green, sitting on my ironing board-now thirties, bet Ms Grace hopes I don't get them colors mixed up with her little DQ! I had such a clever idea today, I thought I would send a pic of little buttons I painted for DQ so I got out my .i phone, thinking ah-ha!!! I'll get a pic to send this way! No dice. Back to the drawing board!

Jean D, click on the 3rd icon from right side of bar above where you type a reply. If you just hover over it, it will say "Insert Image". Click on it. Box comes up INSERT IMAGE from either "From Computer or From URL" . You probably want to click on "From Computer" and then "Choose File" as that is where your pictures are stored. Look up at top of screen in the URL bar and if that doesn't say where your pictures are, then look to left side and click on "Pictures" or whatever your pictures are stored under. Select file, Upload it, and Voila! Clear as mud, right. Step by step, it will work, unless your computer is more contrary than mine!

Brenda, I'm with you, haha. Never did like rules. Aren't they made just to be broken?

Look at you, girlfriend! Giving techie instructions to our members! Good for you!

Bertie, I love the sailboat quilt. The orange is just so perfect with the sea colors. You've got a good eye.
And now to upload pix of the gorgeous quilt I got from Wanda Lou. Join me over at April!
