Oh my, Melinda! What the heck? It's something else. (the first one)
However, if I ended up with it, I would know just how to make it a swan. What a great challenge.

Perhaps you were planning a southwestern theme quilt. The individual designs aren't bad, it's just crazy all together. I'm guilty for bringing my own ugly home too.

Nexxus, I think the first one is uglier than the second.

I like the second one better, I think I would have brought it home too! I think it needs a fussy cut or better yet maybe a kaleidoscope block.

But I do have a fabric that will go well with the first choice. Very South West looking.

This is so fun!

Tired to take a picture of my 'uglies' and they looked ever so much better in the picture than in person...the intensity of the color got all washed out in the picture. Made me think maybe I should just put them in the wash with lots of bleach and they'd be ok!!!

Bleach -- interesting idea. It would probably take so much bleach to reduce the color that the fabric would become brittle. Ever had bleach make a hole in something? I have. You could try that stuff that removes color in preparation for dying fabric.
