I like to use the plastic "clam shell" containers that fruits and veggies come in at Sam's Club. The cherry tomato boxes work great for 5" squares, strawberry boxes work great for rolls for 2 1/2" strips, cherry boxes are nice for storing little projects in the making that use fat quarters. Because they are designed for fruits and veggies, they have air holes, so the fabric can also "breathe" in storage. They cost nothing, easily replaced if they crack, and they stack nicely.

Love these ideas.

I bought a bunch of decorated boxes after Christmas from JoAnn's and Hobby Lobby to put projects in. I put labels on them using the extra strong post-it notes so when I finish the project I can easily change the label.

Great ideas from everyone! I use a Large plastic container that held sesame seeds to hold the small pieces of my Red Snappers and put my Wonderclips (Large and Small) in some hot chocolate tins that I had. I also used the smaller Command Strip hooks to hang my rulers from the back of the CD cabinet I use to hold my thread and other LA supplies.

I use pizza boxes to store 10 or larger squares. I get them at the local places that make pizza. I just ask if they will sell a new box. The most I've paid is 50 cents.

An unused holder for TV and other remotes holds my scissors, pens, and some rulers. Works great!
