Default Great IKEA Storage!

I got to visit the brand new IKEA store in Memphis, and came away with some storage help. Bought two "Kallax" units on sale for half price, and some fabric bins and storage boxes, as well as some magaxine files to help organize my mess. LOVE IKEA and can't wait to go back. I've got to fit some more of this good-looking storage in, and get rid of the clutter.

Two Kallax units, stacked

Storage boxes called Tjena

Fabric bins hold a ton of fabric. I put my civil war repros in one, my recycled shirt fabric in two, and my children's I Spy fabrics in the fourth one.

Pretty birch magazine files hide all my ugly papers from sight.

Looks so nice. I plan to do a bit more 'hiding' this year. Thanks for ideas.

Don't you just love IKEA? I have to have a plan when I go there or else I'm too overwhelmed but I love their storage ideas.

I love Ikea too. My daughter bought a large bookshelf and a tall storage unit (wardrobe) over 10 years ago, since they didn't fit in her new condo she left them here in her old room (now my sewing room). Then someone here posted about a small drawer unit (Ikea's name for it is Alex) and using it for embroidery thread and it is fantastic!!! And someone else here posted about their wire shaving units, again, just what I needed for my closet.
All are easy to get from store to home, easy to assemble, and if I have any questions, my DD comes to my rescue. :-)

I have never been to Ikea -- really want to. Need to see if DD will go with me -- a few years ago she gave me a CD tower that is perfect for fat quarters. I was told it is a bad place for me to go -- too many ideas.

Oh, my gosh! You need to go! Just be sure to take a list of what you need. You'll find plenty of things that you want. My cutting table came from there. I bought the top and then chose legs that can be adjusted up or down for height. Also bought storage units similar to sewbizgirl's, but mine are a natural wood color. Love Ikea...have nothing to do with them except go shopping there about once a year!
