Default Design Wall At Last!

Boy am I excited about this! I followed THIS excellent tutorial at Oh Fransson and got my 1" foam insulation boards at Home Depot.

The boards are 4' x 8'... I trimmed mine down 10" to lean up against this short wall in my quilting room. I used Warm & White batting.

Can't wait to start filling it up!

Here is a picture of the back as I'm putting on the duct tape after stapling the batting down.

My quilts got a 1000 times more interesting and original once I had my working wall in place.
Great job!

I love my design wall. A friend gave me her old design wall when she got a bigger one. I was ready to buy the stuff to make it and asked my friend a few questions about how she made hers. She said instead of buying one I could have hers as her DH was in the process of making her a bigger one. I was the perfect size for my space. I don't know how I got along without it. It is so much better than my design floor I was using.

I want to do that. One of these days. Right now I use the flannel backed table cloths and skirt hangers. I'm working on a couple designs that I am able to make portable. BUT I still want one of these walls.
