I have a sew steady acrylic table that sits on my sewing cabinet. When I quilt it does hang up on the right corner of the sew steady table.

Welcome to this board.

Try emailing them as they have distributors in the USA, I just don't recall where....

In my opinion, having the machine flush with the top of the cabinet is very important for smooth FMQ, if you are planning to do that. I would base my decision on any cabinet on that feature, alone. The cabinet I have came with an acrylic insert specifically made for my machine. When I purchased a new machine several years later I was able to order another insert from the same company to fit my new machine. The cabinet has a lift and the insert just fits around the machine making a flush surface.
Reading through this it sounds like a wonderful cabinet you are looking at. Surely they must be able to make a flush surface for you.

Hi Suern3
Thank you for your comments. This was my concern too. The mother of the builder of the cabinets quilts and she says there isn’t an issue. I am going to take a quilt top and see how freely it moves and whether it will catch. I love the fact that I can sit directly in front of the needle of the sewing machine.
