This is great if you can leave it in one place. I had one but had to put up and take down each time I used it. It was heavy!

I have that type of thing. My ironing board has two legs front and back, instead of the one leg front and back like in your picture. It works fine. There is a "ledge" around the bottom of the larger board that keeps it from sliding off. Not explaining it well, but I do like the rectangular shape better than the regular ironing board shape. It is always left up for ironing. It wouldn't be fun to take it down each time it was used.

I made my lg ironing board on top of a three tier metal stand I got at Lowe's. it is perfect as I can store under it & still have a lg surface to iron on . Made one for my GD's who are sewing. Keeps them all organized. Mine doesn't wobble at all. Love all of the shelves.

I have one, too. When I saw the cost at quilt shows...very spendy. My board has large dowels on the bottom to fit on my reg. ironing board. It fits snugly. My ironing board wobbles, with or without the big board. It adds lots of ironing space. Really like it.

I have one and my DH put hinges and will be putting fold up legs on it. I have this attached to my sewing/cutting table.
i also made a cover for it that I can take off and wash

My husband and I did this and I love it. It doesn't wobble and I am still able to let it down to a lower position and sit it next to my sewing table to hold my quilt. In doing this, I have a small plastic drop cloth that I secure over it so that the quilt slides easily. I have used it now for over a year and it works very well. Mine is very easy to move and I like the fact that the fabric can move over the edge. I also keep a large piece of muslin pinned over the top so that I can remove it and launder it easily. This is, really, one of the best tools I have in my sewing room.

As long as it's sturdy and can still be put away, Ok! I just move my ironing board to the work bench or my sewing/cutting table if I don't want it to touch the floor. If I have large pieces, I fold and don't iron the fold, I adjust it so there will be no crease.
