Nice area - I like to be near the kitchen, it's not so isolating. Like that your hubby cut the desk so your sewing machine fits right in. I would even like to do that in my kitchen counter.

Enjoy your space!! I converted our formal dining room into a space for my new longarm. We never used the dining room so it is a better use of the space.

Very nice work area. We still use the dining table for breakfast and I often times have a quilt on the table. When space in small sewing room is not big enough I move things in dining room.
