    My little piece of heaven

Here are some pictures of my sewing room. My quilting supplies and stash are on the left side of the large double closet. When we first built the house, our builder asked if I was sure I didn't want a clothes pole in the closet. I told him I certainly did not. I already had crates full of crochet thread and yarn and needed shelves, shelves and more shelves! Now that my hands won't let me crochet anymore (arthritis at base of both thumbs), I'm slowly filling the space with quilting supplies. I can sew, because the machine does most of the work! You have a great space -- mine is much more limited and I fight it all the time.

Wow, you actually sew in there? It's as neat as a pin! Seriously, it's a great space, thanks for showing us!

It's in those plastic boxes on the 2 middle shelves on the left of the closet. I don't have a large stash, but I get by. (Or should I say "buy?")

Looks like a fun and "clean" space for sewing!! I'm hearing you about the arthritis in the base of your thumbs-I have just begun to feel that in my left hand and I don't like it!!

Very tidy. I believe most of us that have a designated space for our hobby/hobbies realize how fortune we are.

I love being able to walk out and close the door if the need arises :-)

I just love your area. The closet area is so gorgeous. And everything is so organized. Wonderful
A home is built of peace and love,
and not of wood and stone,
    a place where happiness lives
    and memories are sewn.

I'm sure you would be totally happy here even if someone said you are going to be locked in this room for a period of time. Your color choice for your walls is very calming.

What great sewing space! Looks like you have everything you need to make those quilts.
Our sewing rooms are such a 'personal' space for us quilters. We gotta have them, gotta love our space.

Yes, the left side and the back fold down. Since I can get around it, I figured I may as well keep them up. Trouble is, the more surface I have the more surface I use! LOL If you think it's neat and tidy, you should have seen it before Christmas when i was making table runners for gifts. Neat and tidy? No way! They say, "A creative mind is a messy mind." (If "they" don't say that, then it's just my excuse- lol)

By the way, my table is a Tracey Table. They're made right here in Wisconsin, and the quality is super. Price is right, too. You can check out their website at http://www.traceytables.com. They have a lot of different styles. Found it at a LQS, and Tracey goes to a lot of quilting shows all over.
