I tied a ribbon around the waist of the doll and threaded it through the snaps in the back of the dresses. Then thumbtacked the ribbon to the wall. I have since taken them down and replaced them with framed pictures of quilts. But I still have all the other dolls and stuffed animals. I guess I'm still a kid at heart and need my toys around me.

Absolutely wonderful! You have made great use of your space and I think you have plenty of room for both your quilting and your guests. Very nice job.

Make the hole a little bigger than your machine so it will fit anything you might want to stick in there, and use the Janome Acrylic to go over and fit your machine snugly.
Thanks for the suggestion and I did think about that but since the table folds up I thought it would look a little funny having the drop down sticking out of the front of the cabinet when it was up. I do have the acrylic attachment which does make a big difference in how the material feeds through the machine. And besides, we positioned the table top a few inches lower to compensate for the added height of the machine. If I dropped down then it would be way to low for comfortable sewing.

Fabulous use of space, it looks so attractive. Love that it can be used as spare bedroom when needed. Enjoy! And kudos to your husband on helping to make it happen!

That is fantastic. Love the idea of the table over the bed and how it folds up. And the table for your machine. Fantastic ideas.
