Default New Organizing Goal(s) for the 3rd week of August

Hi busy Quilters,
I forgot to post this over the weekend. Too busy, I guess.
Any recurring or new goals for this week?
I was able to sort my punch needle supplies and hexie supplies and get them into specific containers. I am still pondering the kit idea for future projects but can't bump it to the top of the list yet.
We will be leaving for Florida in about a month. I'm trying to go through the rest of our boxes from our move, get things out to our local thrift shop and reorganize before we go. That includes craft stuff, although I probably won't get through all of it before we go.
It has been easy to get discouraged. I try to keep thinking of the saying about the elephant..one bite at a time.
Good luck, everybody!

Hello Lots2do, I think you mean the 3rd week of September. I think you have lost time somewhere along the way.

I don't know what my organizing goal is yet. But, I will probable tackle my fabric 3 drawer chest. I would like to ruler fold my fabric to all the same size. I think I will probably have more room then I think I have at the moment. But, that's going to create another small problem. I know that there are chunks of fabric that is too small for anything big. But, to big to cut down at the moment. So, I will have to think what I want to do about that. I'm undecided at the moment. I am going out of town soon and need to get everything packed up for that. We are going to visit the grands and we are taking the Christmas presents that we have put away for them. (Ahem, I need to wrap them also still.)

I love these posts! My goal for the week is to put all of my quilting supplies back into my cabinet and desk. I had to empty all of my supplies so that hubby could paint my hutch and sewing desk. It's all piled on my cutting/ironing table. I don't have a lot, but it still feels overwhelming.

We thought we were moving last year and everything went into storage. Everything fell through and we ended up staying put. One good thing though, was major decluttering. I didn't have much to start with, but I was still able to give away some ufos that I didn't want to deal with any longer and some other supplies. Now I only have what I will actually use.

This isn't actually organizing, but I also have to finish a bee block this week and get it in the mail. I'm going to throw that in here for a little accountability. LOL

I can't wait to read everyone else's goals. I'd love to see pictures. I love the whole before/after process.

I got books put away, fabric put back in drawers and all the scraps put in a wastebasket so I can make a doggie bed out of them. Every time I work on a project I've been trying to clean up after myself so I start with a "clean" area.

Oops! Where did the time go? Sometimes, I miss the days when I wrote the date on the board in my classroom.

My goal this week is to pack for my upcoming retreat, which is next Monday - Thursday! So excited! I usually forget to take something important, so I want to start packing before the last minute like I usually do. And, if I have time, to cut out a tote kit that has been on my "to do" list for almost a year.
Lots2do, I am a retired teacher also, and used to always know the correct date. Now I have to ask the date before I write a check....

My goal this week is like a TV rerun as I didn't get it accomplished...the new fall season is starting so I had better get with it and corral that denim explosion...could rain this week....again...so maybe there's a chance....

Things written down are more likely to be done, right?

For some reason, I think in threes. Here are my three organizing goals for the week:

1. Rehome the fabric I don't want that's sitting out waiting for that ACTION. Thinking is not the same as getting rid of clutter.
2. Clear off the ironing table.
3. Label the Art Bins I've put stuff into.

My goals for this week:
1. Pull items from crafts tools and supply stash to sell on eBay-- dh has offered to photo and upload to my eBay account since he's going to be doing the same in his work space. Any items that don't sell after the auction period is up will be donated.

2.continue trying to develop the habit of putting things away that are not being actively used. My horizontal surfaces have once again gotten stacked up in my sewing area, though my painting studio is currently nice and clear.

Re: goal 2-- I think I need a system for managing works in progress that I've temporarily set aside but are not going to go in the UFO box.
