New organizing goals for 1st week of October

I am off work for 3 weeks ( into the last week now) with an ankle injury.....but being home isn't as much fun as one would think. I can finally put some weight bearing on it.....so this is a good time to get the sewing room cleaned! I have been making NICU quilt tops - have 20 of them done.....so there are pieces and bits and rulers and patterns all over the cutting table. Goal is to get the yardage refolded and put away, cut the scraps into 2.5, 3.5 and 5 inch squares. The rulers can be slotted again, and the patterns back into the folders! ultimate goal is to cut all of the scrap piles into the appropriate inch squares!

Thanks for starting this thread! I have worked a long time to get my small sewing room organized. I bought a new Koala cabinet so my Viking Ruby Deluxe can sit down in it. I have all the shelves/racks/ plastic containers, etc. organized with all my stuff. Fabrics are organized by colors, collections, plastic containers stacked on the racks, etc. Sometimes since I've organized so much, I gotten little quilting done. Now sometimes, I just sit and look at all the things I need to do.
But this thread has made me think about writing down what needs to be done first. So tomorrow morning, I am going to start writing down what I need to begin with in my notebook!!

Ugh!! I feel for you. My girlfriend sprained her foot but got creative with an adjustable office chair. She put the arms down and her foot bent like those little scooter. She grabbed her bbq pit tongs (long handled) and uses those to pick items up or grab. So maybe?? If you have a chair on casters??
