I used one layer of heavy duty aluminum foil (just 'cause) and a layer of the batt used for oven mitts (can't remember what it's called) with the foil side out, then one layer light muslin (because I had some) and then made cotton cover. Cover is removable for washing. I actually have a sleeve board, small side (TV) table for ironing and also the regular ironing board both covered in the same material. Just stapled every layer with heavy duty 3/8" staples. Easy & fast. Base is 1/2" plywood ON 1/2" plywood so total is 1" thick,

What a cozy space! You have used your space so well.

And I LOVE your cat ruler holder! Where did you get it?

I got the cat shelf at a yard sale for $1 then DH cut slots into the shelf. I'd seen the holders they sell for $$$ an thought he could do that. Have something similar for scrapbooking too.

Thanks for the information = I will have to watch for something like that, maybe combining a cat silhouette with a board that has the slots cut into it.

Looks great - now all you need is boards to wrap all that fabric on. You have the perfect shelves for Easy Cores. They are for sale on the QB. There are lots of ways people wrap their fabric - but that's all this room really needs in my opinion! Lookin Good!

I just noticed your Readers Digest Sewing Book on your shelf. I have that one too and love it, great pictures and a lot of help. I don't use it often but when you need to know how to do something, it is in there! You have a nice sewing area!
