Cleaning Up
Just finished day 3 of cleaning up my sewing area so that the carpet cleaning company can come in tomorrow! That just doesn't seem right, does it? But true! Recently working on a collage project and then over-lapping applique project. Both needing lots of small pieces- truly looked like a fabric bomb went off! I have a good size design wall but it is full, so had to lay out the applique quilt for DGS on the floor. Luckily had some time to organize a little fabric during the clean up. Anyway, it's all good really. A good "problem" to have I guess.

and you will love the mental peace the clean up brings you :)

Sometimes a little external motivation is what it takes to get us from point A to point B. Although, when it comes to cleaning up a sewing room, it seems more like going from point A to point Z !

You've made progress and will be so happy to work in there once the rug is cleaned. YAY you!

I just worked on an applique quilt for the first time in ages and my carpet looked exactly like a fabric bomb had gone off, still finding little pieces of fabric and paper everywhere! UGH

My husband wants to re-carpet the upstairs of our house. That's where I have 2 rooms of sewing stuff. I asked him if he was going to help take all of the stuff downstairs since there would be nowhere to put it upstairs if we are re-carpeting the whole thing. It would take a crew and whole day to move it all. I haven't heard about re-carpeting since! :D

No carpeting here. SIL installed oak hardwood floors a couple of years before I took over the largest bedroom for my sewing.

My sewing room always looks like a bomb went off! :D

Does it still look tidy? I hope so. Three days is a long time.
