That rubber band idea is great. Have been putting mine with the matching spool of thread in snack size baggies, then store in my thread drawer with all my other general purpose thread accumulated over the years.

Quilters are always coming up with neat ideas. Just think if they let us quilters run this country how organized it'd be! LOL

I have a bobbin storage case but I really love the rubber band idea! Clever and simple!

I bought clear plastic tubing (7/16) cut each piece the size of the inside of the bobbin, cut each section once
and now it slips over each bobbin, and holds it in place. Somebody told me about this several years ago. Works great

I actually have a couple of boxes from ScharffenBerger that used to hold the little chocolate squares in individual stacks. The sections are actually just the right size for holding M bobbins for my LA. I also use the little girl hair crunchies.

I use the bobbin savers for my DM machines, including my FW.

I keep my thread on pegs, so I can just put the bobbin on first then the thread spool. If the peg is a little too short, the spool will still stay on!

I often wind a lot of bobbins in one color. In that case, I put one on the peg and the rest in my bobbin holder so I can match them with the one on the peg. While I am using the many wound bobbins, I have a peg on my cone thread holder that I stack them on. That way they are right there when I need a new one.

PS: My bobbin holder is a 2-sided pencil case from the dollar store. It has sections along the side and a long area on the other side of each part. I keep empty bobbins in the long area and full ones in the smaller sections.

Great idea to use the elastic bands. I was trying to figure the best way to keep the bobbins with their matching colors.

Plus the rubber band way you could use with any size spool or cone of thread.
