Fat quarter storage

I found 2 letter sorters at Habitat for Humanity Restore and stood them on end, on top of each other. It works well for my fat quarters and yardage folded on comic boards. I'm still working on adding fat quarters to it.

Excellent idea! Much easier than digging through boxes or totes :)

Looks like a good idea....love the peg board on the side of it that you used to hang rulers etc from.

Well done!

I love it!! (spoken by somebody that has piles of mixed fabric all over my house... no organization at all but trying). Congrats. Great job!

Great storage solution. Love hitting my local Restore because you never know what you'll find.

Super idea! I would just walk by it and not have a clue as to what to do with those.

Fantastic idea!

I use a dvd or cd rack for mine. Tall and does not take up much floor space. And I make it self limiting. When it is full I must make a couple of quilts with them. My sewing room is 8 x 8 so I must resist too much stuff.

Good idea.

Christine, if you don't use/rotate your fabric fairly quickly I'm guessing you should paint or clear seal these holders.
Keep the dreaded yellow edges showing up on the folds of your fabric. Lovely organization idea!

What a great find!!!!!!!!

Wonderful! I’m going to show my husband your picture, he’s always trying to help improve my space.

Easy-peasy! As nice as it is to see everything at once, I hope it is not where the window light can fade the edges. I frequently check and refold pieces that are not stored "in the dark". (of course, if it fades badly quickly you don't want it in a quilt anyway!)
