Finally finished quilt room!
4 Attachment(s)
Well, as finished as a quilt room ever gets. :) This has been a two year process but I think it is finally done. I've rearranged furniture and moved stuff around until I'm blue but it is finally the way I want it. I took over my master bedroom and consolidated office and quilting into the single room.

Your sewing room looks great! I am getting up from this computor right now and going to my sewing room to do some MUCH needed organizing! Thank you for the inspiration.

Wonderful room!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love your room!

Beautiful room ... so neat and organized. Love your quilting helper under the desk! Mine also naps right under my feet when I'm on the computer or sewing.

What a nice quilt room. I like your flooring. I need wood flooring in my room. Carpeting is "for the birds."
|
What a nice room. You have everything you need in one place. It should be a great creative space to work in. Have fun!
|
Looking good! The only way it would look better........is at my house!:D

WOW. What a wonderful room. Someday, my wish will come true. I can't wait to take over my master bedroom, and make it my quilting/sewing hideaway. lololol
|
Very nice! Have fun breaking it in! :)
|
What a nice, neat & bright space. Lucky you & your quilting partner !!!
|
Is your dog a Wheaten terrier? I recently took over our 'old' master bedroom for my sewing room and I love the extra space! I'm still tweaking it and one more idea to finalize and then I think it'll be the way I'd like. The only downside of all of this reorganization is to realize that I have alot of STUFF!!!
|
Looking good!! I love how we always have a spot for our furbabies :-)
|
WOW! What a great place to create in. Now...show us the 'real' room with quilt in progress. LOL!! Hope you have fun in your new space.
|
How NICE & NEAT!... You should be real proud. If you are out of anything to do now come on over and you can straighten up my 2 rooms. You'd run out scared of the mess I'm. lol Kudos to you!....

A few people have inquired about the basket storage in my room. Here is the information:
I bought them at the Container Store. They are made by Elfa. http://www.containerstore.com/shop/elfa/components IKEA sells something similar. The basket system consists of 4 units with melamine tops and that makes my cutting board which is approximately 35x42. I haven't been at this all that long so the baskets, so far, do a pretty good job of holding my stash. |
Love your room. Now for my question...what kind of table is that for your sewing machine and do you like it? I need to get something better suited height-wise (I'm using a desk and the machine sits too high).

The Sew Easy Table seems to be very well liked. http://www.seweziusa.com/ And there is the Gidget Table - there are two versions of that and I'm not totally sure what the differences are. http://www.sewingtableshop.com/sewin...fm?RNtt=gidget I totally agree that having the machine sunk into the table makes a huge difference. I do like the table, but please note the tables behind and to the side - they are really needed when quilting to support the quilt. The table alone is too narrow for FMQ and this seems to be true of all these tables. I bought the supplemental tables at IKEA. |
Looks great! I straighten mine and it seems like in no time I have to do it again, but that is what it is there for right? Happy quilting!
|
