HELP....with thread organization.

I really need ideas on organizing my thread. I have a long arm machine and my thread is getting out of control. I prefer to store in drawers to keep the dust under control and would like to keep the costs reasonable. Any and all ideas welcome. Pictures and links appreciated.

Thanks!!!

No pics, but I bought a plastic rolling cart from WM, the wide one that has 3 deep drawers (got it on sale for about $20 I think). Cut pegboard to fit the drawers and glued dowels in about every 3rd hole. One drawer can hold about 35 large cones and the whole thing can slide under the LA when not in use. So far I've only filled one drawer but I put my rulers, stencils, and other tools in the others.

Fantastic idea Pam S. I had a couple plastic thread boxes but need more storage. This will work beautifully in my Ikea storage units under my cutting table.

Thanks for the idea, Pam S. - I have the drawers, but the spools won't stand up well! Thanks for the idea of pegboard and dowels!

I use pieces of stabilizer that I have cut to fit around the thread and secure with rubber band the rubber band does not touch the thread so no worries there. I use this for my embroidery threads and I store them in a plastic case usually used for fishing
