I don't have much to organize, but...

I only recently started quilting so I have a pretty small stash. My sewing machine is on the dining room table (what else are they good for?) so I wanted somewhere to put my fabrics and stuff that looked decent. Hubby and I found this cool cabinet in the local antique shop today. Perfect for my fabrics. Price was right so we brought it home.

THAT is a terrific find. I'd love to have one in my home. AND your fabric looks great in it, as you can actually SEE the fabric.

Lovely cabinet...beware, your stash will grow overnight while you're sleeping.

You are smart to get a great dispay/storage cabinet, before your stash is overwhelming (trust me, it happens)!

Sew Freak 10-24-2016 03:34 AM

V e r y nice!!

coopah 10-24-2016 04:38 AM

Wonderful cabinet and a great start on your stash! You might want to line the shelves with an acid free paper. Just a suggestion. :-)

marshaKay 10-24-2016 04:58 AM

How very neat and tidy you are. Wish I were more like you. I'm more the wild raccoon type. A little bit of everything, everywhere!

Very nice cabinet and good start on a stash! I'd like to visit your local shops to find a cabinet like that!

Beachbaby12 10-24-2016 05:44 AM

Wow that is a beautiful cabinet - enjoy!

AnnEliz 10-24-2016 06:09 AM

This is perfect. You will soon have more to stash away.

mjmachin 10-24-2016 06:48 AM

I love your cabinet, what a good find! I am sure you will have fun filling it up with fabric treasures!!

Wanabee Quiltin 10-24-2016 06:56 AM

Its a beautiful cabinet and a lovely stash. Please listen carefully to me: Don't buy too much fabric. Stashes get out of control and fabric is so expensive. Yes, I know it's beautiful and heavenly to touch but you don't have to buy jewelry or gorgeous clothes each time you see them. Same with fabric, have a project to work on and buy fabric for that. Ask me why I am telling you this......

cricketstitches 10-24-2016 06:59 AM

love the cabinet and go get your purse! I'll meet you at the fabric store!

Beautiful cabinet. I wouldn't go out shopping for more fabric just to fill it up. Buy only what you need for the current project, but try to use some of what you already have, too. You will be surprised at how fast that cabinet will fill up.

quilterpurpledog 10-24-2016 07:25 AM

Beautiful piece of furniture put to great use! I really like antiques in the sewing room-they just seem so warm and comfortable. And, yes, beware, your stash will grow. I like mine organized for sure, but it does grow.

sailsablazin 10-24-2016 09:53 AM

I LOVE THAT CABINET! It would be perfect for displaying quilts in my foyer where sunlight is not a problem!!! I have been looking for something like this for years...

Karen G 10-24-2016 03:22 PM

Your stash looks perfect. Having too much fabric can seem unmanageable.

Sandra in Minnesota 10-24-2016 05:10 PM
