Years ago, I bought covered ice cube trays from Tuppperware! They have been durable and have held up for about18 years. From that, I slid my regular trays into bread wrappers and folded them tight around the trays. They kept odors from infiltrating the taste of the water and kept the water from "evaporating" out of the trays.

Fishing tackle boxes work great.

There's a grand opening for a new Container Store here in Rhode Island this coming weekend! I can't wait. :) Actually, I had better stay away from there...LOL.

The Container Store. I recommend that you check their website. They have a lot of great and nifty ideas for storage and organization. The best part about that store is the design is very fashion forward. It is very modern looking and still reasonable priced. They have a great website too.

Fantastic idea and I be they can be had at GW for next to nothing, or even yard sales. Thanks for the idea.

I found great plastic boxes for my bobbins in the fishing area at Wal-Mart. They have some that have a sturdy clasp that locks & I use that one for taking to sewing gatherings. In the sewing area similar boxes are 2-4 times the price!
