Ironing board extension

I am looking for something that I can put on the end of my ironing board to hold the iron. Needs to be steady so iron won.t fall over. I have a small hand crafted ironing board that also changes to a stool. Padding is pretty thick on the surface, so iron doesn't sit real steady. Does this all make sense? Any ideas would be welcome.

I second QuiltnNan's choice. I have been using one like that for years.

Thanks to all who replied, but this particular one, which would be perfect, seems to not be available anymore.

I've got the iron caddy and it's attached to the regular ironing board and then I added my extension 2 x 4 plywood on top of the ironing board covered in batting and silver heat resistant fabric. Picture of the Iron Caddy is from online and the 2nd pic is the actual one I have as its black instead of white. Have had it for years now.

Wow, Polder doesn't even show them on their website anymore! Must be not enough people iron? It looks like most are silicone mats meant to lay on the ironing board itself. There are several ironing boards that include a holder on the end available through Amazon, although I'm guessing that might be a lot more than you are wanting to spend just to get the holder. I think the least expensive is $59.

https://www.quiltingboard.com/blob:h...d-15d4b2587c2aThis is the iron I have and love, however it takes up a lot of room on my ironing board. Any suggestions on an extension that would hold something this big.

I bought a "big board" about a year ago. (Not the largest one, but it is longer than normal fabric is wide.) It sits on top of my regular ironing board, and can be set aside to iron clothing if needed.
I found that I can set the big board so that the bottom of my original ironing board sticks out at least a foot at the right end. (Left end for leftys.) That's plenty of room for the iron. If you want to put the starch bottle, scissors and a pin cushion there also, you need to make allowances for the cord. A hook from the ceiling would be ideal but I'm not there yet.

Wonder how a bar stool sitting at the end of your ironing board would work?? I have a bookcase conveniently at the end of my ironing board and I sometimes sit the iron on top.
