I've taken over a whole room

It's all mine! Hooray! Moved the BF desk into the guest room, so the office is now my very own sewing studio!
The first one shows the shelves that are built in (came with the house) holding smaller (half yard or under) fabric sorted by color, other crafts (knitting, painting, etc), books, magazines and patterns and a few small UFO. The second is my work computer (I work at home part time now due to some health issues) with the gigantic monitor they loaned me, my cutting area and my pegboard. The third one is my sewing area, and my wonderful view of our backyard (yes I'm in Florida and the sun is out today, sorry). The last one is my personal computer (my type of work requires a separate secure computer) and shelves to hold shipping stuff, labels, etc. I try and keep it clean, but there is also a closet that holds the rest of the fabric and batting, and that door stays closed most of the time. :) The only thing this room lacks is a wall large enough to use as a design wall, but for now the floor works just fine. I LOVE MY NEW ROOM! |
Sorry, not sure why that picture shows up twice. Oops

Wow, nice space!

Great space.

If you got a window shade and hung it in on the top edge of your shelves, you could cover it with flannel or a vinyl table cloth with the back side out. That would be your design wall. Then roll it up when you're not using it.

Great room! Good idea tesspug!

WOW!!! So nice and organized!!! I'm up here in COLD New York. . . what are those green things I see on the trees in your backyard???? I vaguely remember something called leaves, but I haven't seen them in quite awhile! :) Happy sewing!!

And thanks for all the nice comments. I'm loving having a separate space for the first time. :) |
