Being it's only 7" deep would you be able to hang it on the back of a door and save floor space?

There have been some great ideas on here and for now is a definite keeper. Thank you for all the ideas and inspiration! I found some plain empty golf ball boxes and those fit nicely and will put them on the bottom. They’re just the right size for odds and ends. I will definitely use it to hang rulers, ironed fabric pieces on the top part. I found other little boxes and those I leave open for quick access- like little cubbies. Hanging on the back of the door is a great idea but this one is too heavy.

That would be a definite keeper! Usable on so many levels. Book, fabrics, UFO or WIP.

If you plan on getting into embroidery with you sewing machine this would be very handy indeed.

And would be heavier with items on it.

I use mine for fat quarters and similarly sized scraps folded to 5" sorta. lol

I would have my husband or son cut plywood shelves and backing for it so I could stack items on without the fear of falling through. Maybe I'd even paint it a pretty color.
