Large roll of batting

If you buy large rolls of batting ( I like to get it a JoAnns with a 60% off coupon) what do you do with it when you get it home? Right now I have one leaning in a corner. But I'm hoping there's a better way. Thanks

I have a 6 ft. folding table that I have raised with bed, risers that I use for my work table. I have a pipe that goes from one side of the legs to the other. I put the pipe through the roll and rest it on the leg supports. When I need batting, I just roll off what I need.

I store 3 rolls on the bar under my quilting frame; another 3 rolls on a wheeled stand my husband made for me. The wheeled stand fits behind my cutting table so I can roll off, measure and cut off what I need.

Does anyone have pictures I would like to see your set up

I have a deep sewing table made from an old library table. I wrap mine in a tablecloth and roll it under the sewing table. A friend keeps hers in her spare bathroom tub.

Mine is leaning in a corner too! It might get a large plastic bag over it, soon.

I have my roll of batting on a wooden curtain rod, and the rod is held up by 2 brackets that have sort of U shaped "ends" where the rod goes, this is over my cutting table.

I agree! Photos, please!

I put a little bench in my closest and keep all the batting on top. that way I still have room underneath for
other things.

Here are some pictures of the wheeled batting rack. I do keep extra rolls under my quilting frame (its a Gammill with a metal bar for batting) However, it is so convenient for me to pull from the rack behind my cutting table, measure and slice it off.

Mine leans in a corner behind the door in my sewing room. Out of the way but easy to get to.

Mine are in the closet of the sewing room.

Great idea, I have something similar that hangs from rafters.

I have limited space so decided to attach mine to my rafters above the cutting table. This way when I do need it I can just pull it down, measure the length I need and cut. I have a very long metal ruler nearby that I clamp to either side of the cutting table to keep it straight. My cutting table is 4' x 8' so can't cut in one swoop of the rotary cutter. Here's a pic of my setup. I'm showing the bracket I'm using and how I keep my clamps nearby. And yes, they came from my workshop out back. The metal ruler is from my workshop too. Its taller than me.

Bahahaha! My cats won't sleep in the kitty beds I have for them. Oh, no. They wait until a container of fabric is unguarded, then it's zzzzzzzzzz all the way. little monsters. Same innocent look as Ash, too, lol. Who, me?

When my sister and I go in together on a box of Warm and Natural, she lets me keep the box for my half. I have the box under the sewing table. The cats dent it a bit because they like to sit on it, but it keeps it from getting dusty.

I use to have roll of batting behind my sewing cabinet. Then I had a 12" x60" bookcase thing with square cubby holes is where it sat. Covered with a sheet. I moved that to my dining room. I have enough batting to make us another large double size quilt, then it will be gone. Standing now with a sheet covering it. If I buy another roll not sure what I will do with it.

has any one tried putting the roll on the rod in a closet? My sons are basically out of the house and I have a closet that I could empty. I keep playing around with that idea... just haven't had the energy to wrestle with the roll yet. I am afraid it won't work and then I will be worn out :)

I have mine on a curtain rod and it hangs and I cut as needed
