A nice way of folding them for storage if you don't use the boards.

I fold FQ in a square fashion and store in a storage bin. It's easy to see the colors and keep them organized.

Do you find wrapping fabric on the board is worth the time?

It really depends on how each individul like to store their fabrics. For many quilters it is definitely worth the time.

I ruler fold FQ to 1/2 yard pieces with a 3 1/2 inch ruler and then fold down into about square size. It keeps the FQ organized and easily sorted by color. It's quick and simple for me.

All yardage is stored ruler folder. It was all on boards but ruler folding works better for me right now. Subject to change...

Absolutely. My fabric is stored in shallow book cases in a closet and the narrow three drawer plastic organizers. Without using the comic boards and fabric bolts I'd never be able to find what I want.
