My dream shevling

I have been TRYING (for MONTHS) to organize, and destash
all my fabric.

Of course it doesn't look like I have made much progress at
it, mainly because I am just folding my fabric onto comic boards,
and putting them back into storage bins.

Found the shelving I want to get, but so far lack of money has
prevented the purchase. The shelving I want is at ikea, but the
height, and depth of the unit is PERFECT for the space I plan to
put this unit in.

Told my hubs that if I had these shelves it would LOOK like I am
making some progress, instead of just shuffling the still full bins
around.

Here is a link to the IKEA shelving that I want to get.

I have book shelves with adjustable shelves that look almost exactly like these ( except mine are wood grain, not white- although white was an option) mine came from Walmart, $59 for the narrow ones, $79 for the wide ones. I bought one of each to start, added a corner unit later then 2 more wide units. Little at a time is much easier in my world

I am in the process of trying to organize my stash so I can find a fabric and know where it is located. Good Luck on your organization.

Nice shelves you picked out. They look perfect for fabrics.

I use a Billy bookcase with doors. Was dk brown but used chalk paint to paint it white along with other inherited pieces and it all co ordinates nicely.

I use a couple of Billy bookcases with the opaque doors on them for my fabrics. They've worked out really well. But now I need a couple more!

Ikea is great because you could buy one piece now and add more Billy shelves later, you don't have to buy all the pieces that make up that "set" of bookcases now if it isn't too far of a drive to Ikea for you.

I know what you linked to just shows one article number, but when you get to the store and try to look up where to find it, you are going to get a list of all the different boxes you need to make up that set.

I have those bookcases, I didn't buy them all at once because hubby had sticker shock. I bought two at a time, and finally got all the ones including the corner piece. They were not hard to put together and they hold a lot of stuff.

I saw a pantry/utility cupboard with adjustable shelves for $79 at one of the home improvement stores. Keep thinking about that. 6 feet high. Would help. We don't have an IKEA store nearby and not really willing to pay shipping or travel.
