After setting up my newly remodeled quilting studio, I proceded to organize all of my fabrics, thread, patterns, etc. I mostly sorted by batiks, collections and color. It's so easy to find what I need now. I hope I can keep it like this. I found fabrics that I had forgotten I had bought.

Wow. that looks great and so easy to find what you want. I hope to have the space someday to get it all together. Have fun with the new space.

WOW!! Am in awe of your stash. Can't stop scrolling through to see all those beautiful fabrics. Is it OK to be envious?

Good girl! Want to come do mine?

RedGarnet222 02-03-2012 12:57 PM

Great job well done! I love how you can walk over and find everything right within reach and color coordinated. You deserve to have some play fun in that stash now for a while.

I did this last january 2011 and I washed and pressed it. Oh my gosh... That was a total exausting month! I thought I would never get that finished. The other thing I wondered if I could keep it that way. Turns out once you do this, it is a snap to keep it straightened up and organized.

Thanks for sharing your organizing with us. It will inspire others to follow suit, I am sure.

Gosh I don't think I could cope with piles of fabric such as you have there, OMG no I couldn't. All mine is currently in various boxes and totes which I find hard enough to cope with as it is. I am looking forward to the day when like you I get to organize my sewing studio. Great job!

fireworkslover 02-04-2012 01:00 PM

Thank you. I have 3 overhead cabinets full.
