Love the chair...your area will grow and grow..I sewed on the kitchen table for a year...now I have a sewing room that use to be dark green and a room full of stuff we never used...I gutted the room painted it yellow added shelves ditched the old computer...and totally loving it...you will find you really enjoy having your own space.

Great idea recovering an old chair. I was thinking about spending a bunch of money just to get that one from Jo-Ann's with the sewing notions on it...Not anymore. I'll just get an old chair and recover it with a sewing notions fabric I love and maybe some clear vinyl to protect it. Thanks!

Very nice, cute little get away. Now, wait til you out grow that spot!
|
That's Great for You! You did a fantastic job on the chair!
|
Good idea. Yes, the table looks like it would wobble.
|
What a great job you did! The chair is wonderful - so bright and cheerful!

Any artist will tell you that you have to have good tools to do good work. Now you have some good tools - enjoy!

eventually you will move the sofa out, install shelves for all your stash, and be really happy with it. Once you get used to having space, it is something necessary if you have to move. Like getting an additional bedroom... and then turning it into a sewing room.

When I first began quilting, just a few weeks ago, I set up a portable table and sat on the sofa in the back den (former sleeping porch). Not very comfortable, and the table wobbled when I sewed. So this week I snagged a chair at Goodwill, repainted and recovered, and swiped the desk from the kids' room that they don't use much. So much better! It just makes me smile.
That looks much more comfortable. The chair sure is pretty and bright, good job enjoy. My sewing room is also in the sun room, now my husband has moved his computer setup in with me. makes it nice we can work in the same area. |
It is amazing what you can acomplish when you need to. You should be alot more comfy now.

With a sturdy desk and a comfortable chair, you will create all sorts of lovely things.
