Such great working stations! Does Ikea have that pup in stock? ;)

Please show and tell us how you make your sewing table when you can. I desperately need to get my machine flush with the table to avoid more shoulder strain.

Your ironing station is quite clever.

I really like both you ironing station and work station. I will look into getting some of those tables too. Thank you for sharing.

Great idea for storage idea.

The tables really do hold a lot in all the "cubbies" made by connecting the tables together.

For the sewing machine table I am following this tutorial:

I am doing it slightly differently, but same basic idea. I got the same table and we assembled it and cut the hole in it today. Tomorrow we will add the shelf, which I am just doing a bit differently. It will wait until this summer to be stained and polyurethaned or maybe painted… I haven't decided yet. For now I will just use the table unfinished.

I like your ironing table. I have been wanting one myself. I have been looking on Craigslist and at yard sales for a dresser to make into one. When the other day I thought I have an extra dresser upstairs. My DD has moved out and there is a perfect dresser sitting up in her room. SO I spent yesterday cleaning up her room and emptying her dresser. I am headed to Lowes to get some wheels to put on it. Then I need to figure out what I need for the top. I cleaned up the area in my sewing room where it will go yesterday. Hopefully I can get my son to help me with moving it tomorrow while he is off work.

Ingenious!

Very nice! What is the finished height, and are the small tables made from wood?

ladydukes 12-31-2014 08:26 AM

Meanmom, let me know what you end up using for the top, please.
